  • Donation Rewards & Vault Credit System Update
A new important update has been posted covering the Donation Rewards bug, the reset of incorrect Donation and Platinum credits, the upcoming reclaim system for previous tracked donations, and the new Vault freeze/maintenance behavior. The goal is to remove bug-generated credits, protect real donation history, and rebuild the system in a cleaner and safer way going forward. - Jack Of Blades

Did you ever cry while playing AVNs?

For players:
I remember that just two games made me cry. Active lesson and Leap of faith. How about you? Did a game manage to make you cry and which one? (Not because it is so bad )

For developers:
Do you get emotionally attached to your characters? Did you cry while writing the dialogues? Because I never thought that will happen but I cried three times already while writing the dialogues for my game and I can't be the only one.

I have a few that have gotten me close. Some of the stories are just that good, like Leap of Faith.

Lessons in Love is a good example of a story that started great, but got so incredibly heavy that I had to stop for a bit and switch off the dark path.

Generally the games where there are consequences for your actions are more powerful stories.

Can't say I've ever cried at a AVN. Had moments where it's been like a gut punch. Only game I think I've cried at was the end of tell tales walking dead season 1. That ruined me 😔
omg that whole last sequence T_T
I tried so hard, so many attempts to prevent the bite and nothing you do can turn the event, it's so sad and heartbreaking, and so god damn good.

Was still living at home at the time and my mother was concerned. And confused who Lee was till I explained lol

Games are fantasy, if you get sucked in too much that it becomes reality and start crying you may want to rethink if your mature enough to play them. Most games on here are 18+ so I believe most adults won't cry or get emotionally involved in a game to cry about it. You should be able to know what is fantasy and what is reality. In reality a lot of bad things happen far worse than in computer games;. Computer games are used to escape reality and be in a fantasy. If it makes you cry you should check reality for a while.

At worse all I've ever got was a lump in my throat playing JVNs. Not to say some of the games have triggered feelings. I feel some form of sadness if the story and immersion is good.

Chasing Sunsets had some good emotional beats to it.

I was also spanking it to MC in But I'm The Bad Guy stretching out a sissy bussy and got a wicked cramp in my calf, but that's probably not what you're talking about.

Few like Leap of faith, Acting Lessons, Summer with Mia, Welcome to Hell - The Vampire Chronicles and finally the one that made me feel sad and full of revenge: The Falling Reloaded, the bad is abandoned

I don't think I've ever succeeded in crying from any piece of media unfortunately, I think the closest I got was at the end of Final Fantasy Crisis Core, which now has a remake that I'm probably not going to play since it might not live up to its memory.

I don't remember crying to a game, but i do remember having some strong feelings with some long running games, but most of the times its a "huh thats sad".

Do actual japanese VNs count? Cause yes with Tomoyo After, the sequel/side story? to Clannad. Clannad too, but that one obviously didn't have any sex scenes in it lol. Love em, but I'm not revisiting those anytime soon 😭

I did not play Crisis Core yet. Seem like it is time now. But it happened to me at the end of Final Fantasy X. And on X-2 during the song 1000 Words. :giggle:

Getting an emotional hit from a game is my favorite. Its great when a story can inspire tears or other strong emotions.

Leap of Faith is the obvious one.

One of the most impactful emotional hits for me in these games was in Summer Scent (near the end of the path .. I think it was the "moronic hero" path)
When Cassie and the MC are in the diner and she thanks him .. but there is big subtext behind the thanks for what he sacrificed for her and Eve.

While there are some Friends In Need players who dont like Nicki .. some of her story hits hard if you let it.

Single Again has some good emotional moments with Abbie and with Lily.

So far, I have never encountered a AVN that made me cry. Maybe in the future because I have played several games that have made me cry
