The remake of the early chapters of Where the Heart Is has been very good. I normally don't like it when dev's remake early content, but Cheeky has also added a bunch of new material in the process.Making new chapters, I don't remember one single case where the whole rework thing worked as it should.
This 100x over. If you update your old work, you will never finish and abandon it all together. Bug fixes are fine, but updates tend to add bugs and break saves. Be proud that you have improved and show in your next work how much better you are. How many movies today are improved and actually add anything other than a chance to charge again for mostly the same old material.I hate remakes and remasters no matter the type of game. Just continue creating new content ffs. Don't dwell in the past.
I'm with you on this. VN should be finished first, but obviously show your new skills and improvements as the game develops. "Shut Up and Dance" is a good example of a game that is really enjoyable, but I got really pissed at not seeing the story being furthered due to remastering older chapters. At least the dev alternated between remaster, update, remaster, update etc.I honestly hate when devs decide to go back and 'remaster' their early chapters, they should definitely finish the VN first IMO.
