From goal-line technology and VAR in football to Hawk-Eye in tennis and instant replay across many sports, technology has become a major part of modern competition. While it helps improve accuracy and fairness, some fans argue that it interrupts the flow of the game and reduces the excitement of controversial moments.

Do you support the increasing use of technology in sports? Why or why not?

I’m not much of a sports fan, but I reckon that as long as the technology makes the game fairer and more accurate, there’s little to be said against it, as it should always be the team or the athlete who performs best who wins, rather than the one whose major mistakes were overlooked. But as I said, I don’t know much about it and would love to learn more from you all.

I won't say technology is much of an issue really.

For what I'm seeing in this FIFA world cup, cooling breaks are quite bullcrap specially when it's not even that hot. They can lead to quick change in tactics that can turn the whole game around. Playing 4 quarters is not good, at least not for football. That is human element winning over technology if you ask me lol
