I would like to add a few other cohabitation game developers I've seen in ci-en that are in the process of making one and has shared a few itty bits of their progress, with pictures.
Some of them already have titles, some haven't.

Cohab life sim where you're the man who just saved a girl from a truck, suddenly turned invisible and teleported into a room with a girl you seem to be familiar but you couldn't see her properly yet.
Previews are mostly sketches of images and animated gifs. All animations are frame-by-frame hand-drawn.
Development has been since April 2026 and updates monthly after deciding on a title since June.

Outdoor cohab life sim with some kind of RPG adventure-like elements?
Previews are all sketches and images only. Devs do not have a history of making animated stuff.
Development has been since February 2023 and has an inconsistent update schedule due to reviewing other games most of the time, but is still active.

Development has been since May 2025 after a radio silence and archiving all past content out of public and updates bimonthly now but had a very long delay last year.
Planned release is on September 2026.

Has AI usage on some backgrounds, music and any language translations, but the character themselves and all scenes are still hand-drawn.
Development has been since November 2023 and updates monthly on average but has been on a recent delay, probably for finishing reasons.
Planned release is on October 2026.

I know I'm the mfcker who said we should be flexible with the genre, but can this game really be considered "cohabitation game"? I think it lacks many of the genre's mechanics and characteristics... Good game tho, but I don't know, I don't feel like it's "like the others," so to speak.

Heh sometimes the difference can be tricky, I think the best way to go would be to put all said games in another below list "cohab themed games but not cohab games" - or "others" to keep it simple

Wasn't the biggest fan of the character archetype for the 2nd Kaiju Princess game, but it definitely was a step above the other ones in many areas.

A little bit of a different style to some of the other cohabs on here. IIRC you play as a father that has his daughter move in with him after a divorce. Every turn she enters a random room where you can then interact with her. Buying certain items from the shop and/or having high enough bond with her unlocks interactions. Only part that's really annoying about this game is you play a literal slot machine minigame to farm money.

It's less of a simulation and more of a gallery collector kind of game, but the essential is there

I had this censorship conversation with another dev and his game Miruri is also on the dlsite and yes Japan has even stricter censorship laws than fuck95 and requires that all genitals have to be pixelated, if the developers don't do this the game will be banned on dlsite... that's why the dev only published the SFW version on his dlsite...

In general, all the support sites like Patreon, Subscribestar, Fansly and all other sites where you can earn money for your game have very strict censorship and have zero tolerance for loli and shota content...

That's the reason why many developers give up or just release an "aged up" version

OtakuPLAN does that on Steam, and Steam doesn't give a fuck about it as long as the prohibited game content is not in their store.

That means, you can publish your game on Steam with a decensor patch hosted somewhere else. Which is somewhat comical because you have more freedom on Steam than in a specialized store like DLSite.

Having played the two I would ever tend to prefer this one on many points, I think art / artistic direction is better, writing is better, and interactivity is better. But i'll let you judge by yourself lol
