Two reasons: Firstly the pessimism induced by previous LC moderating decisions. But also if you have a system that gives people 100000 LC Coins per day, the 750 coin barrier for Members+ becomes irrelevant. We will get one kind hearted person gifting everyone posting on the forum Members+, which wil force LC's hand.

Yeah. First I get lured out of my comfortable lurker shell to gather coins for mem+ access. Now I have that but still don't stop chatting even though the coins have fulfilled their purpose. Greed, virtual, but still greed

More than removing the Bank won't they just rise the price so that no one is gonna gift it to everyone? It's not happening now and I don't think that it will happen in the future.

Coins are generated out of thin air by likes and insane interest rates (not that I complain). So what to do with this flood of coins? One alternative would be adding more and more prestige levels to buy, but as you said, what's the benefit? Another option would be increasing prices for the existing levels, which is what I kinda expect. Last but not least I could imagine regular renewals of the prestige levels. But for that they should have clear advantages other than cosmetic

I sincerely hope that before they change the system I can collect enough to have all the privileges at hand, right now I only collect 50 LC in interest, but when I reach 200 LC per day plus what I get with comments it will be a pretty quick trip for get all the privileges. The bank is something that goes very slowly at the beginning, but once it gets going, as long as you are patient, you will be able to make a good fortune in a short time.

Back in the days when there where more coin question threads you could see me even all the time.

The problem is that even if you have something that costs a million coins, in a year people with 1000 daily gain now will get a million every single day. So fixed costs can't solve the problem. The easy solution is to cap the amount of coins you can gain at the bank at 200 daily or something, but that would need to be done ASAP before people get millions of coins. That way they would only need to watch out for malicious multi-accounters. If LC waits a few months though, there will be people with millions of coins. And as people are nice, they will gift stuff. Which will destroy the system.

Click on the downward arrow to the right of 'shop'. Then click on 'bank'. Then click on 'deposit'

With the current functionality of the bank, if used perfectly and with no other additions of coins, your money should double every 36 days. So once you get to 200 coins per day, you should have 40K in 72 days. If my math is right
