Something I have never understood about the "soulless AI" argument is that the AI struggled drawing the same parts of a human that humans did. They underwent the same journey of improvement. Some even went as far as to say "The AI isn't flawed like humans" ... then turned around and laugh when it made flawed art.

Personally I don't mind AI art, of course I much prefer hand drawn images.
After all AI is still an emerging technology, I'm sure it will get better in the future.

I can't draw. Either by hand or by Photoshop. I've learned how to make KK (at least somewhat) aesthetically pleasing. I'd put what I do on par with an AI creator. Use a tool someone else came up with to generate 'art'. I'm no artist, though.

People rail on using AI to create images but leave those that use KK, HS/HS2, DAZ, or whatever else alone from any real criticism so they can go on to create images. A developer using one of these to craft characters, settings, effects, and others does the same kind of thing a person spending hours and hours developing the right inputs for AI does.

Better tools, progression. I get it. Upset that artists are going to get squeezed out? Then support artists.

IMO AI porn is still in its infancy and its developing in quality. At start we had plenty of cursed images especially in regards to nightmare hands and feet but these days, the quality has improved given how accessible it is and how many people are using it like SD. With time, the algorithms will learn enough that we wont be able to tell the difference. And that's static pictures. Imagine what it'll be like in 5-10 years time.

I share your views on generative AI to some extent. Like, sure, most (if not all), AI art do lack the "soul" and "talent," so to speak, in the finished product. But that same argument can be made to other works of artists who are already burned out and demotivated to the core.

But if I may, while I do believe that generative AI is currently placed in the morally gray area, due to the alleged rampant stealing of other artists' works, concept, etc., I still believe that the tech is a valuable tool when used correctly for personal use to satisfy one's fantasy. Like for instance, wanking off to a picture of a clown centaur loli with Bob Ross hair.

I'm not interested in anything containing ai atm, but a large reason for that is because I find the quality/variety lacking.
It's in still in it's growing pains. I remember just a couple years ago ai art was god awful. A good example was something that actually looks somewhat coherent.
I think in the years to come, ai will be able to make some really good stuff. Especially if/when it can take instructions from plain English(or your preferred language) and be able to output exactly what you want.
