More like cheapened the value. Thinking of how people work hard to draw art and then AI comes along and slowly makes it obsolete has gotta be painful for artists.
Something I have never understood about the "soulless AI" argument is that the AI struggled drawing the same parts of a human that humans did. They underwent the same journey of improvement. Some even went as far as to say "The AI isn't flawed like humans" ... then turned around and laugh when it made flawed art.the soul and talent is just missing from the AI art and I just dismiss it outright. Very rarely have I seen AI art and ever felt any arousal from it.
That's an interesting point.AI art is a useful tool for those of us who can't draw. You need to think about those of us who want to create content but can't draw for shit.
I share your views on generative AI to some extent. Like, sure, most (if not all), AI art do lack the "soul" and "talent," so to speak, in the finished product. But that same argument can be made to other works of artists who are already burned out and demotivated to the core. With AI art being in full swing and flooding every image sharing site, it feels like so much of the soul is lost in a sea of art that everyone can instantly read as AI art? That the soul and talent is just missing from the AI art and I just dismiss it outright. Very rarely have I seen AI art and ever felt any arousal from it.
Wait till you get into the vip image section,,,, then we'll talk if you can get aroused from AI images.
