RIP ask jeeves. imo, it went downhill when they rebranded into just ask dot com.
It was never very good. Way back when I still watched The Simpson Bart Simpson once put in "why do you suck so much?" I tried that later and it put links to porn sites.

Good morning and happy Taco Tuesday. It's also Cinco de Mayo.

Shes sooo fucking hot, it's unbelievable.

I tried rogue-likes like Dead Cells and The Binding of Isaac but I just can't have fun in the end, and that's coming from a Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden fan, I get the appeal but these two just didn't work, I did Like Mothergunship maybe because it's was very fast and simple tho

AI can stay the way it is now, i don't really mind, but making code, art or even voices/characters for serious things like games, movies or anime is just anti-human, i ain't gonna watch like a movie made in AI or play a game made in it, it's fine being used for jokes and some porn but when you start using just so you don't need anymore creative people around, that things just loses any value to me
Agree. I don't AI will overtake the games industry any time soon.

So my completely unsolicited take on the AI debate, It makes art much more accessible for the vast majority of folks. Now most people can type a description and get a passable image, functional code, or a piece of literature. Accessibility means we will get more of these thing's, both good and bad. I imagine in the early days of posting hand drawn art, there was, and still is, a great number of individuals that never experience critique until what they presented as what they thought was a Monalisa that was actually just a stick figure. I imagine/hope that our current AI ecosystem is the early days of lots of folks learning that their AI artwork is in fact stick figures and will gradually drop in volume, leaving us with two district sub groups.

The first sub group, is the ones that will never learn what art is and that they will submit a description and post 10 carbon copies of the first thing the processor shoots out, ignore all valid criticism and just keep chugging along. I pray this group is small, so help me I pray.

The second sub group, is a group that would not normally have skills in the medium that AI now makes accessible to them, but are able to prompt craft and willing to put the time into refining the results and learning the art involved with what they are creating (I mean in the image world we have been doing this with photo shop forever and we consider it art still). This group is definitely one I feel it is worth fostering, as this will provide great works that would not otherwise have existed, that while not skilled in the same way we think the medium should be skilled, it was still something someone spent a great amount of effort and time creating using a different set of skills and mastery.

I am creating my own thread system by linking my stories together, as the images are scattered between public and members+. I hope this does not get too complicated.

Late night posting for tired gents. far far west is pretty fun, anyone else try it out?
Not yet but it caught my eye. I was looking for a coop game to play with my friends. How does it compare to other alternatives? Not sure if i should get it over stuff lile deep rock galactic or helldivers 2.

Also national Teacher Appreciation Day and Hoagie Day in the US. Note only parts use "Hoagie." It's that or "Italian Sandwich" here. Other parts of the country say Hero or Sub. Louisiana says "Po Boys"

I wasn't sure if Far Far West was a game that was posted on this site... And I was thinking that I wouldn't want to do coop play for these kinds of games

"Grinder" is also in that list. East coast thing maybe?

Do people here love to go back and play old games from time to time like me?

Obviously~

Besides, it's not like there are many good “new” games out there; they're usually completely broken and incomplete on launch day, yet sold at full price, or they're terrible games that no one knows how they ever got the green light to be made.

Then they come at me with, “No, it's actually better now, after this massive 30GB patch for the 50GB game that fixes all the bugs and missing content the game should have had a year ago when it came out,” and in my head I just hear them bleating like completely tamed sheep, as if something like that were something to be grateful for and not something completely despicable and unacceptable.

Of course, I’m only talking about AAA releases here; there’s nothing wrong with early access games that offer transparent development.

Funny how people trash Nintendo for their game prices or how "simple" they look but the games are not even 20gb in size and almost never have updates, not even bug fixes, their games comes out from the box perfect, they get tons of awards, have immense replay value and meanwhile the new COD game takes half your ssd space for some fucking guns and animations every new entry and give you the same crap
