I guess I still do not understand why people hate the possible "riches" some folks accumulate. It does not hurt anyone, does not upset the shopping mart, and I have yet to see anyone trying to bribe anyone to get their way. It's not like @Underlord @mime @Evil Surgeon and their ilk are really named Musk and Bezos, so who gives a fuck? I am not going to worry about such things until they start auctioning off Epstein's island in the shop.

The feeling I'm getting is that the worry is that some people will collect insane amounts of coins requiring little to no activity and being able to really mess with the eco through trades

I dont like removing the interest from the bank, but the reason isnt because I think its a bad idea, I dont like it because I just barely started benefiting from it.
Ever since I first learned about the bank and the 2% daily interest, its been clear it isnt a great long-term idea.
I mean, if I got 100 coins when I first joined this site, put it in the bank, collected the interest of 2% every day and never interacted with the community again, I would have, after a year, over 137,000 coins. (Assuming I didnt fuck up the math)

After a certain amount of coins, if your main objective is accruing more, the coins you get from interacting become trivial compared to the interest.
Removing the interest (or at least strongly nerfing it) encourages more interaction from the community, while also pausing the hyperinflation that 2% daily compounding interest causes.
This is not popular, as we've seen. The reason I'm saying this isn't because I like removing the interest from the bank, it's because it seems to me to be true, and a good idea long term.

Im curious to learn other peoples perpectives on this, i believe my logic is sound, but i wouldnt mind being proven wrong.

Edit: Maybe replace the compounding interest with simple interest, so that you only get interest over the coins you made while interacting, and not with the coins you made with interest?

Why not only give out interest to the amount of coins you currently have in your wallet?

This is exactly why I keep putting the word "problem" in scare quotes. I have yet to hear what the problem exactly is. It has been repeatedly stated that the problem is not related to AC wealth accumulation lowering the donation amount. I have yet to have millions of AC trickled down upon me by the benevolent %0.0001, nor seen evidence that this is even happening except in a very few specific cases. There are transaction logs so it should be possible for a simple query like SELECT * FROM transactions WHERE from_user IN [$badUserIds] AND amount > $moreThanWeWantThemToSend would reveal just how many times this has happened, if that is even the "problem".

Also: Is the ticket to Epstein Island what's hidden behind P5? I may never know if the bank interest goes away.

It never bothered me that users have millions of coins, but it seems that some of the staff thinks it might be a problem, judging by the proposed bank changes.
What im trying to do is provide my perspective on the matter, and maybe we can find a solution that is least harmful to the users and the site itself, and that makes both the users and staff happy (Or least upset).

You mean the interest of the bank would be based not on the bank balance but on the wallet balance?
If thats what you meant im not sure in what way it would help.
All it would do is encourage users to keep their coins in their wallet, it seems to me.

Its easy just type in the search engine what you want, so for example for 2 of the gifs I used today I put in:
1) Abby Z Nation gif
2) Dick Emery Oh you are awful but I like you gif
and I got the gifs I needed.
