Honestly, the evil surgeon variant convinced me to never pull the lever (unless it's 1000 vs 1 or something).

I'd have sleepless nights about letting 5 people die, but I'd be destroyed if I murdered 1.

I too would be sad if I only got to murder one and had to let five others escape.

Lol yeah, good luck with that venture. I know independent contractors or self-employed can make their own hours, but from what I've seen horror story wise, it usually means spending more time suffering on the job than the rest of us.
I don't envy your position there. BUTTTT you do have the potential of making more money than i ever could being a corporate drone if you get enough clients.
That and no bosses to suck up to is a nice touch.

In college some of my classmates acted like self-employed was like going on an adventure. No dude, you are not Bilbo Baggins.

i would not recommend it to anyone and recommend it to everyone // edit: it almost broke me in the first years (i started a couple months before covid)

currently im doing all by myself (besides taxes ) and i think about my business every day
BUT i did not go broke during covid AND if i increase my income by about 20% i can get my first employee and start the process of gradually transferring responsibility until im "free" (kinda)

only been sick once in 5 years had a kidney AND bladder infection at the same time! And fell down stairs.. TWICE!

otherwise its: work. work.
Working on holidays. (I don't work the day after New Years though) No Vacation. Its all good though. Cant rely on any sort of social security so this will be my pension in the future.
