Just about anything that ISN'T Ren'py is pretty much unplayable.

While RPGM/QSP are really not my thing, some Unity and UE stuff is ok. I actually filter out Ren'Py along with RPGM and QSP sometimes when I'm looking for new games. Still play Ren'py games often enough, but other systems work for me too.

No, they crash all the time. Unity and UE.

It all depends on who make it. There are plenty of stable stuff out of there.

It's always better then Unreal Engine. That shit is just a hot mess. Unstable and extremely bad optimized.

For me it's evening/night. When the streets clear up and become peaceful. A great time when no one will bother you whatever you are doing.

I'd say midmorning, before most days get hot and it's not the dreaded early morning/sunrise time...

It all depends on who make it. There are plenty of stable stuff out of there.

I find many Ren'Py games to be poorly (data space) optimized too, and having to download and store 40GB (twice if I wanna keep the compressed original to reinstall later) to play a VN is not really happy-making for me. Unfortunately, I find many indie games to be ill-optimized and buggy. It's part of their 'charm'

I haven't seen a Ren'Py game over 20gb. I do agree a lot of games gave bad storage optimization. I rarely store any of the games, I just delete them after playing. It needs big updates before I can replay them again. Pilgrimage is one of the few I can replay but I am hitting a hard barrier of replay ability sadly
