You could argue modern CDs are already "audiophile" quality, 44khz 16 bit is all you need to recreate the entire human hearing range. any more than that comes down to your listening equipment or the mastering on the track

I've never heard/seen any self-proclaimed audiophile say that any CD, modern or not, is good enough to "enjoy". You'd be the first if you are one.

I've never heard/seen any self-proclaimed audiophile say that any CD, modern or not, is good enough to "enjoy". You'd be the first if you are one.

to be perfectly honest I did use to drink the koolaid, I seeked high bitrate albums and wanted only the highest bit depth, then I saw this

which if you don't have time for, although I highly recommend it, debunks it all by going: the same math that makes digital audio work in the first place proves you dont need any higher quality than cd quality.

I have trouble sleeping.. that's pretty much every day. Sometimes for me I just stay up for over 24 hours and try to get back on a regular schedule.

Not recommended if you gotta go into work. So, uh.. yeah..
