That's really a conspiracy way to see things.

It's possible to do good stats: sociologists and statisticians often do excellent work and most of the time they put their methodology in the study, so you can verify if it's a valid one. I have myself study sociology and history, so i know a lot about those things. Plus, that's a lot easier to just interpret the number in the way you like than to fake them, politicians do it all the time.

That's completely dumb to just say "there is arguments from both side". I care about the quality of the arguments, i care about if the claims can be verify, i care about proofs. There is lot of data proving women are still discriminated in most part of their life and that gender minorities are too, which should make them objective allies, i'm pretty sure you're just blinded by privilege.

It's a fact that women have a lot less political and economical power than men all around the word. How many women are president or prime minister of their countries? How many women lead big corporations? There is really few and that's objective and easy to verify reality. You are totally exaggerating the magnitude of the changes. We are precisely in a time of reaction, where conservatives try to reverse some of the gains women make in the past decades. And God is dead? Religious fanaticism is on the contrary really high again.

I don't know if it's a problem of being misinformed or just badly interpreting the facts, you have a way that mix ideology, beliefs and extreme relativism, but the way you see the world is totally disconnected from reality.

I have a quote i like to say, The villains you face are the heroes of others. Meaning It's all about perspective.

From google reviews:
1- We arrived at a quarter to 11 and they tell us that they don't serve us because they close at 11:30. I don't recommend it at all, there are better places to eat and it's cheap, it doesn't hit the nail on the head for the drink!
There is a sign on the door that says you can't get in after 10:30.
2- Tasteless food, we received very poor service, my vegetarian wife had no options to eat. When we asked if they could prepare something without meat, they were rude and showed more interest in the money than the customer. I don't recommend the place; There are better options nearby.
I've gone with a vegan friend, he ate so much we had to sit outside to "rest" when we left. You are the one that pick what's going to be cooked and hand it to the line of cookers waiting for customers where you can even tell them what sauces to use or not.
3-I do not recommend it, my wife and I went yesterday and I had a disgusting night and I woke up in the morning drinking and with diarrhea. The food was super expensive and dry and tasteless.
The food was expensive, at an all you can eat buffet.
4- literally a racist comment about the cook being from Argentina and using Argentinian wordiness, not gonna paste it here.

The not 1 star reviews are all either good and have some reasonable point that could improve or very good.

Could be overly self-entitled people who are complaining unreasonably. On the other hand I am aware of cases where it's been proven that people have been paid by some businesses to leave overly good reviews of themselves or deliberately bad reviews of their competitors. Especially given how many potential customers may only ever believe reviews and never choose to take a chance themselves.

There have been a few attempts at "all you can eat" restaurants in my town. I went once with some friends to one of them an ate 8 pizzas for 9€ aprox. And that's what I ate, A friend ate a whole tray of shrimp(23€/kg) and small lobsters(15€/kg) and the others did not fall behind. I guess the idea was to make a profit from the drinks(under 15c/unit provider to 2€/unit customer). It did not go well
The one that lasted the longest as such closed after 4 months, the rest reinvented themselves as "all you can eat" one day a week from 8AM-11AM and normal restaurant/buffet the rest of the time or similar patterns.
The closest one I know of is 1 hour in car away if you take the highway, 3 hours through the old road, which in Europe's distance is VERY FAR AWAY.

It does feel like "all you can eat" is the restaurant's attempt at gambling.

They're hoping that for each grandkid that eats everything in sight, that there's a crowd of grandmas and grampas that pay full price and eat 2 toasts.

I've rarely seen "all you can eat" stay for more than a few years. Some... but rare.

Fair enough, so let me rephrase the discussion.

What is the predictor of behaviour? Not SHOULD as a predictor... IS...
I'll use myself as an example to make sure I'm downgrading the intensity. (my point is to go hmm and think, not pick a fight).

So, what is the predictor of me being punched in the nose:
The Truth or Fact of whether or not I slept with the neighbour's wife? (as if I've got that kinda game... anyways... that was a tangent)
The Belief of whether or not I slept with the neighbour's wife?

SHOULD Facts matter doesn't factor into it... thought it... should... (ba-doom tch... setting the tone here)
The predictor of fist meets my face is the BELIEF that the neighbour thinks I've slept with his wife.

NOW... if there was a way to make Truth and Fact matter... I'd love to hear it. I'd be all for it.
But, to go back to your example, they may be cults, but that doesn't change the pain they inflict on my nose...
