I've seen people on the internet start the transition after 40's and getting really cute and feminine, but I don't know how the transitioning proccess is. It's always just the same hormone? Or there are different substances that works differently?
But like most things related to the body, it must be heavily based on genetics and metabolism, so no much to do aside from plastic surgery, I guess.
Some people really do win in the lottery of the looks department.
I was just kidding, I like making some drama some times. Hahaha
But yeah, once a trans men started saying that my wife were transphobic and didn't like him. Yeah, we both didn't like him, but the fact he was trans hasn't got anything to do with it.
Trans prejudice is very serious and unfortunately very common, people like it that use it just to play as the victim must make it extra hard for those who really are victims...![]()
There is hormones: trans men take testo, trans women take estro +something to help evacuate testo. Trans women often do hairs removal. Then you can do some surgeries too: face and/or genital (i will do face feminization surgery in early 2025).
All those things cost lot of money. In some countries (like mine fortunately) it's paid by social security. In many of them, that's not the case, so you have to take massive amount of money from your own pocket.
I don't like it when some trans people see transphobia everywhere, even in place where there isn't. But i also understand with trans people are so jumpy i mean as you say, there is so much discrimination (really hard to find work or a house for example, i had to return to live with my dad), bullying, sometimes even murders.
Also i'm kinda privilege for a trans woman: i mean i'm white, i come from a progressive middle class family... It's even harder when you're poor and black. Discriminations are cumulative.
Using the "I have friends like this" card, huh? That's cisphobe!![]()
I was thinking it would sound exactly like that when i was writing it haha
It's possible, I'll give you that.
Then again, it's also possible that it's human nature and that power corrupts anyone in power, regardless of gender / race / orientation, etc... and that the dystopian society is just an inevitable fact.
If I HAVE to put on my scientist hat, I say let's do the test for genders first:
Men have ruled things for about, oh, 5-10 thousand years of human history (probably more, but that's how far writing gets... ish)
So, let's say we let women rule for about 5-10 thousand years and our
great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - great - etc... grand-kids
can then say I TOLD YOU SO if women fuck it up as bad as men.
Does that sound fair?
Would love to try it haha. I agree power corrupt and that this corruption affect every gender. So maybe it would be just as bad with some women lead.
That being said if put my own scientific hat on, there is some interesting facts that made me wonder. In many western countries, penal population is like 98% cis men, even higher for violent crimes. A difference this massive isn't simple to explain. Part of the explanation may be biological: testo is known to encourage aggressive and impulsive behavior in both humans and animals. Then there is education: consciously or not we educate differently men and women. Then there is psychology: our society encourage men to repress their emotions instead of expressing them, which can make them develop neurosis.
I think we should try to address problem at the root by educating kids with good sex education, gender equality, non violence, but when you say that people say "you're woke".
