I don't think so. But Disney is know to put on a friendly face and behave way differently internally. I've seem lots of
behind the scenes talk of them vetoing any more bigger representation.

There's also the well known clip of that one executive bragging about her "not so secret gay agenda." It seems like Disney went from "nothing gay ever" to "make everything gay and lame" in just a few years. And frankly, the latter is a much worse position for a family oriented company even if the content didn't suck. Half their target audience still thinks the opposite sex has cooties. They're not interested in any romance, and the parents don't want to be explaining why two men are making out.

Well, the movie was trash. It didn't have anything to do with the lesbian couple. Hahaha

Trash movies still make money in China. The sheer size of their population means that even the relative few that will pay to sit through garbage are far more numerous than most other countries. The lesbians just gave Disney a shield to blame poor ticket sales on homophobes rather than addressing the bad writing that's become endemic to the company.

They have to make them background, remember the Buzz Lightyear movie didn't even get released in China and they lost a ton of money.

The weird thing with releasing in China is that they don't make that much. On top of the normal cut theaters get, publish the film through a Chinese-based company due to local protectionism laws, and the taxes are much higher. And then the Chinese audience doesn't show up anyway. Yet these companies keep courting China.

The TOS was for a free trial of Disney+, which makes this even worse.

Fuck the evil rat.

They argued for both, the D+ trial and park ticket purchase both had the same language in the contract.
