didn't even notice in previous post, but had something similar other day when one of adblockers messed up site for me, couldn't write at all and had only 1 like and had to confirm it each time, weird stuff, happening when was in process of catching up, from one post to another. still have that one disabled for this site. worth to check next time if you get in to similar thing.

I suppose that depends one whether you can see the inside of the opossum or not.

Mostly I see them alive in my back yard, though I did rescue a young one from an office complex parking lot once. He was doing his "possum" thing in the middle of a driveway between two buildings, so I picked him up by the tail and set him at the trunk of a tree between a couple of root bulges. They're good to have around. Not very pretty, but good animals.

Yeah it definitely spiraled into a clusterfuck of anarchy. I did have to publicly
apologize to Teaspoon, wasn't thinking about the horror he would experience
showing up and seeing Underlords fucking everywhere lol

I loved Dark Souls so much it was the first game I got 100% on in a decade, and I am not even that good at it, particularly compared to the die hards. If you can get past the initial hump of figuring out how to spec your build properly, the game opens up and becomes much more fun and intriguing.

Dark Souls 1 is peak, but I think for someone not familiar with these type of games I would recommend Elden Ring, because it's easier to run away when you have trouble lol

"Core math" adds visualization to something that we didn't need. My point is why couldn't they just learn the same way.

My niece is college aged and very good with the new math. I think she would have been good with the old math, too. Just learned a different way. She gets all the right answers, though.

When did being educated become a bad thing?

I could think of a couple pretty pivotal things in the past decade...
But, being from the midwest, education was always a little demonized. Maybe it's a little jealousy
I think, from seeing it over the years, most of the people who leave and go to college never come back or get a great job and live in a more populated place.

I still love giving a cashier OVER the amount so that I don't get back coins and watch their little brains start melting.

One of the cash registers that spits out the correct change broke down once on me, I had to count it out with the girl to give me correct change. Took 15 minutes!

Story Time:
My buddy had a hard time getting his daughter to study and her grades were less than mediocre. She wouldn't listen to him when he tried to help her- because that's not how she was being taught. Same Lessons. Same Knowledge. Different Method.
I offer to tutor her- she gives me an essay or report on fucking something.
I break out the red pen and correct it. She's visibly upset and asks why I did it.
I said you misspelled words, there's no punctuation, no capitalization, no paragraphs, the wrong tenses of verbs, run-on sentences, incomplete sentences, and it just reads bloody awful- like you half paid attention to the lesson or book.
To which she replies, "Oh, the teacher doesn't care about any of that." It WAS an ENGLISH CLASS!
We move on to Maths (why, I don't know, maybe I'm paying for the sins of a past life...)
Just as atrocious as the English lesson- all these bubbles drawn all over the damn place AND the answers were still wrong.
This time she says, "The teacher doesn't care if we're right, just that we're 'close' to the right answer."
So I asked her one simple question. "Okay [Redacted], Lets say it's my job to figure out your paycheck at the end of the week, for all the long, hard hours that you've put into your job- Do you want me to be accurate or "close".
She just stared at me like a deer in fuckin' headlights...

But, if she was having less than mediocre grades, maybe she was lying about what the teacher actually wanted. Or didn't understand.
We had a class in HS called "Business Math." They covered addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. That's all they covered. Literally 6th grade shit.
The seats were full every period, every semester. You had to pass at least that class to get a diploma. They didn't even teach percentages or fractions!
Maybe that girl should restart with business math is what I'm saying.

i have a question for you guys - my terabyte HDD is almost getting full of lewd games, how do you deal with this? just get a 2 tb HDD? get an external SSD and to copy the games over as backup? transferring this much data to an external SSD seems to take really long, so I'm not sure how I'll sustain this if it keeps growing over the years

Spend $100 and get a 4TB SSD external. As long as you're not moving shit back and forth all the time, it'll last you many many years.
