Good afternoon folks, We went out to McDonald's this morning for breakfast and 2 combo meals + tax was ~ $20.00

I will show my age again and tell you that as a young teen, a plain small McDonald's burger was 15 cents! and the big sign out in front said 900,000 sold. We all wanted to see the sign say 1 million sold.

Again, same question.
No, I remember when I started smoking they were $0.75 a pack (fuckin' BT KB). You could get a carton, a soda, and a sammich- and still get change out of a $10.00 bill... *le sigh*

Some have mentioned: plenty of sites have more intense content and aren't targeted.

MY THEORIES:
1-It's either someone has something personal against this site.
2-Or it's some legal agency that wants to cross us off their list.
3-Or option C... i.e. I dunno. I welcome ideas.

I've basically heard cicadas every year of my life. Some years are more than others, obviously. I'm in the middle of the US, and I don't know about what broods there are.

When I checked for articles, I think they said the last double brood was in 2015. I'm down in Texas and have lived in a few areas of the State - we always have many each summer and usually at least two types (large green and small brown). I'll occasionally catch one in its emergence phase, crawling up the leg of my deck or my garage and coming out of its shell. I remember them when I lived in the mid-US for a few years, but they didn't seem as numerous. Of course, I was in a newly built subdivision and the bigger trees were further away. The house I'm in now is about 50 years old with several types of oaks, pines, pecans, crepe myrtles, magnolias (those are just the one's on my property) and other trees of a similar age all about, so we constantly have and hear them.

I think it's around a month post-emergence. That's when they're always calling out. If you put a bug translator on it they're all saying "I'm horny and need to reproduce before a bird gets me or a kid puts me in a jar! Let's get it on!"

IDK always hated them since I was young. Only background noise I can stand is the sound of the Fan or AC.
I also get angry people who snore but that is just me haha.
