There are probably multiple factors why forum activity has slowed down a bit. As long as you're posting here however, you're keeping it at least somewhat active

There aren't enough posts being made on these forums to generate the coins necessary to unlock full membership in any reasonable length of time even if you respond to every single thread.

Members+ area is basically dead as well, the heavy gatekeeping combined with aggressively pushing people to send money to an underground porn forum that nobody but an idiot would want linked to their finances has basically killed this site.

I've never had to or been forced to pay for anything here unless it was voluntary.

even F95 operates as a business, if you look it up it's rumored to make a million + per year on advertising alone.
there is no advertising here on LC

most people were posting here to grind M+ for game access, and then, once they got it, they went back to lurking (myself included, mostly watching the games area for anything interesting, and sometimes posting on the daily image threads if I felt inspired).

Perfectly said. When the site first added the coin system, there was a sudden surge of thousands of users earning coins at the same time. It was a wild time.

Many users went back to lurking, but some had fun and decided to stay. And some just swing by when they feel like it.
