Links or it didn't happen. :p
I think it was just javhihi.com, but it a "for sale" domain right now. Beware that javhihi.world is not the same I used to go. Maybe it has the same videos, since it were all stored externally, but by layout alone I know it's a completely different site.

I could be wrong but I understood that Disney only got involved with the production of the Marvel films from Iron Man 2 onwards. Hence the watering down of the 'Demon in a bottle' storyline elements that were originally intended.
You're right, I'm sorry. Iron Man is 2008 and Disney bought Marvel in 2009; That said, the earlier movies were still very good, and I think Disney didn't "wait" all this time for they to start giving out orders.

I quoted your post because I was going to reply too... But, at this point, I'm just repeating what I said above. They DID make different Genres, and in doing so their films felt good and fresh, but they've fallen to making the formulaic and it shows.
But, that said, we had Shang Chi - which was much more a martial arts film. Eternals, which might have not been great, but was trying to be a more artistic affair (and I think succeeded until the last third).
In terms of Horror, maybe not Psychological and maybe not even true horror, but we had Werewolf By Night for that B-Movie Schlock feel. Moonkight is fairly Psychological in places.
What you said on your post I consider more of theme than a genre. There are more serious movies, and more goofy ones, and they sure "borrow" elements from other genres of movies, but to me not enough to be considered a different genre. It all follow the same formula of action/adventure/comedy that for me it's the same in almost all movies, with flashy battles, funny dialogues and such.
Don't get me wrong, I also liked most of them, but I kinda had enough with it, and I hoped that they varied more.
And yeah, RDJ recast smells like despair to me. Or should I say zetsubou? Did you had anything to do with it, Monokuma???

Serious query for any tech heads out there.

TL/DR: Seeking a good freeware HD repair tool.

I have a 5T external HD that's less than a year old and is now giving me this error:

It's an Easystore, and I have a 1T from the same manufacturer that's at least four years old that hasn't given me any problems whatsoever. Got the 5T to consolidate some other, older externals. It's only porn stuff, but it has personal caps and rare shares from "The Cappening" in 2015/2016 ish (if you were there and heard of Krystal Palace on volafile, that was my room until it got murdered). I can probably find and resave most of the studio based stuff I've collected (though it would be a pain in the ass), but not my original caps or the rares.

Been trying to see if I can find a freeware disc repair/recovery tool that works decently, but so far it's just "recovery" stuff that would require me to spend about two days to scan the one drive, then transfer any found files to a new one. What I'd prefer to be able to do is see if I can repair the structure. I don't use it often, except to save stuff over, and it's beyond my how it could have been corrupted in the conditions I have here.

If anyone has a recommendations, I'd appreciate it. Not exactly the kind of thing you want to take to Best Buy and see if the Geek Squad can do something with it, and things have moved beyond my skills - I learned to program in Cobal for fucks sake, so I'm a little on the old side and a lot of this shit has passed me by.
Assuming NTFS, since Windows. So would be my go to option. It saved many TBs for me on external disks. But don't forget to have a separate and similarly large disk connected to recover to.
Also first " chkdsk /B G: " that thing.

It's that time again. I'm gonna go to bed.
Bye everyone, have a great rest of your day/night! 🌊👋

I know, I know..... you must be thinking Bonky lost a bet. Fact is, it's a silent
protest trying to bring brother Underlord back to it's true form

If we're talking purely financial gain, then sure - Marvel will continue to dominate because it has name recognition. Lowest common denominator type stuff that everyone and their Mom will go and see because it's "Fun" regardless of whether it's a decent film or not. And I'm in full agreement there. What was my point? Oh yeh. I said "Perform Worst" so, maybe it was my choice of words - They all make dollar. But I was thinking more... About the ratings from fans. And it's there that we see the less generic ones hitting home most.
Well, that's the reason Disney acquired them, more money. Whether it's a decent film or not doesn't matter if it's fun.
Also, more movies means more merch! And the big fans will buy the merch and they'll make more merch for the fans to buy!
There are 1560 Marvel Funk Pops.
Winter Soldier - Spy Thriller
Antman 1/2 - Hiest Movies
Thor: Ragnarok - Full Comedy/Space Operra
Spider-Man Homecoming - Low Scale Coming of Age
All great movies, I would add Shang Chi (Kung Fu-ish), Black Panther (more serious & political) and Guardians of the Galaxy (buddy cop western space vibes).
I don't really pay a lot of attention to user reviews, so I can't attest to them. But they were definitely different, and had a lot of unknown characters.
And I'm in full agreement that most of the Phase 4 stuff has been middling at best, with a few exceptions. But I think that's BECAUSE they're leaning on their formula. And, considering what Feige has come out and said recently, it seems like they're pulling back on that and going back to what made the previous films sucessful.
I haven't really been excited to see a Marvel movie since No Way Home, and then only because I knew there were all 3 Spideys. Before that, probably Endgame.
I was pleasantly surprised by Shang Chi, but irritated with Widow. Then Eternals came out, so much hype for a trash bag of a movie (IMO)
I haven't seen what Feige has said, but he's been at the head of the table, so I hope he can make the changes needed.
I also think COVID didn't help at all. Marvel was already making too many films, oversaturating their own market, and stretching themselves too thin... But COVID comes along, ruins their shooting schedule, their writing schedule, etc etc. And I think that can be really felt in the films. LIke, I don't think you can sit there watching it and go "Oh this is COVID happening" but I think you can feel an unease, or something not gelling correctly, and that is because of the knock on.

Such as... Spider-Man: No Way Home, is arrguably one of the best films they've made Post-End Game. I think everyone will agree with that. And even that feels shakey in places and, then we learn, that Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness was meant to take place before Spider-Man, and both films had to be rewritten in places due to COVID fucking up their schedules. And, suddenly, it makes sense why both films lack cohesion.
I think over saturation may be part of it. We're all probably getting sick of the same aesthetic. The same people are making the same decisions on the same types of movies... It makes the movies feel stale.
I don't think I knew that Multiverse of Madness and No Way Home were switched in release. Although NWH was really good. (it felt like some of the scenes were in the wrong order) MoM felt like it should have been a stand alone movie. Especially if you didn't watch WandaVision (I didn't)
Then there's something like Love and Thunder, where Marvel was lazy and just said "Taika did well, he'll do well again" - and I love his films, but clearly here he just phoned it in and didn't care what he was doing as much. I think it's a case of a Director being given TOO much freedom. But, again, Marvel resting on their laurels.

So, the point I guess I'm making, is it feels like Marvel understand their mistakes and they're taking a few steps back now. I think they went above 100%, which meant they lost efficiency. Their studios were overworked back when making Black Panther, I hate to think what the state of their studios was during the major Endgame ramp up and then a global pandemic.
Taika is a good director from what I've seen, and an even better Korg. But, Love and Thunder should have been more serious. Too much slapstick and one-liners for a serious story like that.
I don't know that Taiki is comfortable on the serious side of it all.
The overworked and oversaturation are probably why they just let him do whatever. They probably should have given extra time for COVID stuff and pushed stuff back more. But, they made a boatload of cash, so they're considered a success.
I'd definitely recommend watching Loki.
Loki, Moonknight, WandaVision.
Whatever you do - Don't watch Secret Invasion. It's absolutely terrible and it'll only prove your point and worsen mine! Haha.
I should watch those... there's just so much now, I have to watch them in order, or some things won't make sense!
I'll definitely watch She Hulk and Secret Invasion, too! :P

Eternals as an artsy film? I can see it, in parts. It probably should have been two movies. One with more origins and intro to monsters, ending at the village. Second the villain reveal and expand from there. There were good parts of that movie, but a lot of crap jammed in as well.
I've literally never heard of Werewolf by Night until just now.
But yeh. Marvel lost it's way a little, and I think it's from what I said above - I think they hit the ground too hard after Endgame, trying not to lose momentum, but instead doing too much - then being hit by a global pandemic - made everything feel a bit half-assed and sloppy. BUT, I feel like they're starting to understand what they're doing a bit more now....
I haven't seen Deadpool 3 yet (yarrr - better version when) but it seems like they're veering in the right direction.
But they did announce RDJ as Doctor Doom, but I'm ignoring that announcement, because it reeks of absolute desperation and I'm hoping, HOPING, they do something clever with it.
Kang fell through pretty hard. I keep seeing people talking about how he was a good villian in Loki. But, then he was in Quantumania and that movie was awful.
Although, I worry RDJ as Dr Doom with be the one movie, just to torture Spidey. (like Spidey hasn't had it bad enough)
Fantastic 4 is coming out next summer, a year before Avengers 5: Doomsday. So they had to have had a Dr. Doom before they announced RDJ as Dr. Doom, right?

Sorry it took so long to reply!
