Spent a month there. Played cowboys, played ghetto, I'm just fancy that way.Proper use and punctuation of "y'all's". Impressed. Spent any time in Texas?![]()
makes perfect sense -- take some time to appreciate you!For all you other pathetic degenerates spending some time here tonight, glad to see you. I'll be doin' a bit of the old in-and-the-out here, but mostly focused on the ladies of the University of Problems (it's the update I have!) a bottle of beaujolais left over from a party a few weeks ago, and a bag of chocolates.

How much roux do you make at a time? I usually do gumbo in a 4qt Dutch oven, so I only need a 1/4-1/4 batch of roux. I use oil roux for gumbo, but butter roux for gravies. To get a chestnut, my normal speed is about 30 minutes, but I found I can do it in about 12 minutes on higher heat - just have to watch it more closely. Don't want it burnt. Found out I can do it quick one day when I'd already got the rest of the gumbo on to simmer and realized I didn't have the roux done yet - usually do it the night before. Got it perfect, but was a little nervous about burning it - easy to do if you use high heat and don't pay attention.especially the roux
Heya.
I hope y'all's day goes well. I'm trying to pop in more often. Trying. Lol.
As usual, if y'all need anything, you're more than welcome to DM me or whatever.
See ya!
Dinner was excellent -- I had some of the shrimp, chicken and sausage gumbo I made a couple months ago. I usually make a big batch then freeze most of it in meal size portions. It gets better with age. I love making gumbo but it takes time, especially the roux, which is why I make a lot. I poured it over rice and had a few pieces of cornbread to go with it. AND a light crisp pale ale. While I was eating I watched the season finale of Dexter: Original Sin. A great meal mixed with Dexter's fun loving shenanigans -- what could be better?
And it is off to bed for me now -- my belly is full and I am warm and cozy Goodnight all - see you tomorrow

At this point, I'm thinking you're doing this on purpose.Hi, Slum!
Bye, Slum!
I'm not afraid to admit, it takes me some extra seconds to read an analog watch, but I would say, that's mostly because over here we use the 24 hour format. And in engineering -- no mistakes in notes that way ( am can look a LOT like pm if you are tired ) Though in the days before digital clocks the old 24 hour analog ones were a bit confusing, now some kids can not even read a 12 hour analog clock
Yoyo everyone!
Great song!, adding it to my playlist so I can also enjoy some late night drives

Valentines Day is extremely depressing for the unhappily single.
The commercialization of Valentine's Day can be traced back to trends started by influential corporations and producers. One of the earliest examples dates back to 1861, when notable chocolatier Richard Cadbury launched the “fancy box” campaign. From heart-shaped candy to jewelry, this extreme holiday-driven consumerism is proving to have lasting effects on the environment and people's relationships with materialistic gift giving. Valentine's Day is the second largest materialistic holiday and is a massive contributor to consumerism.
