Number 1: it will save you an annoyance for possibly months with the cooldown. Number 2: people like to react more to people that react to them. That's just two of the incentives.

The more you react - the more reactions you get -- It does sound like you are wasting savings until you realize that P1 gives a HUGE boost to the reactions you get.
