I have never ever heard of animeflix and I've been downloading anime since it was done by IRC bots
Was it like nya? or more like aniwave?

Nyaa has been under attack at least 8 times, both by governments and individuals since it first opening almost 20 years ago. Has been sued, canceled, under DoS attacks, had it identity stolen, closed, etc. Probably not going to happen anytime soon.
Aniwave server "is" in the Kingdom of Tonga, an island country in Polynesia. This was done mostly because they were messing with them.
Both seem hard to close.

I still mourn Kissanime/manga to this day, there is nothing exceeding that especially the comment section, those were hilarious. Also since the chinese crap infiltrated the anime scene on all sites, its really difficult to find something I have interest in and because of that I barely watch.

Kissanime and it's Kissasian site are still alive. Sure they are not the original sites but others have cloned them and continue on.
