discussion Animated or not?

This animation makes a game. Otherwise just read hentai.

Valid opinion of course! Still: hentai isn't interactive, and text-based games exist. Might be not your thing, but writing and gameplay can just as well make a game for an audience.

i dont really care whether the game have animations or not, but having one is definitely a big plus

Sometimes it depends on the game completely. Corruption of champions for example doesnt need even images. Ripples is so much better with the animations.

Writing is most important. A well written scene will be hot regardless, but good animations can make it so much better. However good animations with bad writing, can be dull or even pointless. Honestly it all comes down to quality. The better the quality, the less it matters if it has either.

Games can be ok without animation but they are SO MUCH BETTER with animations, but absolutely feel like i can't bitch about it since I'm not the one having to draw those animations so I'll take what i can get unless I'm buying the game, not spending money on a game without animations without it being like Last Sovereign levels of good

Don't really care, but I do enjoy a really nicely done animations with well made character models.
Some games have bad animations or unnecessary animations. For example one game, I can't recall the name at this time, had same girl walking animation clip repeated over and over throughout the game which got little annoying because you can't interrupt and skip it.
If the dev make a game with great character models, great dialogue, and good story, but is real bad at animations, I would rather the dev leave out the animations.

Of course animated. But it takes so long to make animation, so the games will be released less often when they are full.

If a game is going to have graphics at all, and if it will have animation or video at all, it should be normal animation or skeleton animation or real video. Manipulation of static images is so ugly I would rather not see it ever. It should be illegal.

It won't make a difference on whether I play it or not however, if it's janky animation compared to still pictures. I would honestly prefer still pictures. Sound/Music - I find that to be sooooo much more important

I definitely am a fan of well-made animations, but they are hardly a dealbreaker for me. Good art is good art regardless.
