So my coin balance appears to have just kinda vanished? I had 4000 before the rework, pulled into my wallet with the change over. Put 1000 back into the vault when it became available a few hours ago.

And now it says I have 343 in wallet, 0 in vault...

Am I missing some math shenanigans, or should I submit a ticket to try and get this straightened out?

I miss the confusing complicated setup, but it should be noted I'm 'weird'. I do love grindfest sandbox games.

My reading of the 'pool' (wow, I RTFM), 1 and only 1 poster get 0.5% of all monthly deposits. Further larger vault usage gives a larger chance of winning. That seems like one hell of a lottery if the vault system gets busy. Might I suggest reviewing this so a small portion of vault users get a share of the pool. Maybe large 1st, 2nd and 3rd wins, with token returns for ~1% of vault users.

Thought I was going to have to grind for a while to get to permanent members+ and getting any length of prestige, but I guess I don't really have to do that now for the former, and I'm basically already there for the latter, so that's a definite positive.

So, let me try to recapitulate what has happened till now:
- there was a bad db/disk that caused the "old" site to collapse, where not only it showed that the backup was not much of a backup but it also nuked all bank balances
- the site was (to some extend) rebuild and things like topics were restored while other things like pictures and bank accounts went limbo
- fear not: the old bank balances are irrelevant, as the new glory AC2.0 emerges; it was stated that it´s a new economy, not tied whatsoever with old AC
- i thought, well, then, and ONLY THEN, I'm not complaining about my old balance lost (5.5M), was only digital, just like BTC; also I got somehow a small amount of AC on the new site (about 3.5k); start using vault to have at least some fun around here while waiting that the site might come back to former activity, at least I still got my purchased ranks (which took moths to accumulate as a lurker)
- now: oh, we revamped the fucking system again, only AC2.0 - now LC - will be used for everything, including vault, and we might give the chance to convert from AC to LC, meaning tying the economys together to some deggree, but do not worry....

Did I miss something, except the fact that the mindset seems to shift on a monthly to two-monthly basis?
Honestly, with these changes being more frequent in the last 6 month, it makes my will to interact become less and less.
Just my opinion, do whatever you want, it´s your site.

I agree. I feel like the frequent and sudden changes is hitting the people that are currently on the grind to get ranks the hardest and having a new and unnecessarly complex system is creating a threshold for new users.

You still have them, they have just been withdrawn from the vault.

But this way users have to earn even more, becaue a part goes into a monthly forced lottery.

Which is a bit strange, because the more you deposit (and pay the fee) the higher your chances to win the whole pot.


Doesn't this favor wealthy users? After all, they can afford to contribute more and thus have a higher chance at wining and get even richer.

Well, the cap is necessary, if you don't want to introduce a new coin after two years.
The question should not be if there is a limit, but how high it is.
The current 100K is more than enough.

If one only goes into the vault, one will not know why this is a thing.
There can be a short description, that "By paying the pool fee, you are eligible to partake in the monthly Vault Pool Price drawing" or something like that.

BTW Vault Pool is a bit of a cumbersome name, because it's hard to imagine what that means.
Maybe Vault Raffle? That's at least more harmless than lottery.
