Site Suggestions / Changes / Reverts

I haven't been on much and am surprised we are still running the same circles jumping through the same hoops. Good luck on whoever is going to be in charge, although I did think the site was in a good spot over a year ago before the update page got messed with again (obviously now that finally works too). Some rules will be needed and gates need to be well, gatekeeped (gatekept?!). Think the people I spoke of who were closely on the inside of the site are already gone though, good luck Mime and others! I've let known a the few things I do think should be changed through proper channels ages ago so I won't bore people typing shit here. I'm just happy downloading some good AVN's.

Go back to Prestige Ranks able to be purchased with Donation Coins again. Was going to come off $20 bucks to start getting my P ranks but when looking at the shop which is confusing AF, This one takes AC2. This one AC, but these two DC WTF who thought of that is retarded really. If you want to make your monthly budget for server costs you can not depend on the sea of unfinished games. Its the badges and extras that people want to show off. The extra forum areas. Pirate sites are a dime a dozen so depending on well you donate because you believe in the community only works on less that 5% of users. Trust me I ran online communities dealt with it first hand. People want to pay to stand out, grinding posts is not the way. A lot of us just don't have time we have money instead except I guess today I keep mine since I can't use it to shortcut my damn P ranks.

Fix the shop so we can use DC and SEE that we can use DC and the price of it for all things in the shop its donation coins that ultimately pays to keep the lights on.

i have one request only.

stop forced threads. it has always pissed a lot of ppl off - more than you realized

edit: ok, i lied...
2nd request: (like someone else already said) revert back to the normal search by release date for latest updates... whatever current trash is for navigating reminds me too much of f9... and its worse than they do. annoying. it should be simplistic and be what ppl want to see, not what u want to show them

Can anyone reading this tell please tell me one thing? How many coins (and what type) do I need on my account to access member +??

what about that the you only need the first level (Members+) to access the full games section that the site was designed for, everything above is fully voluntarily.

every road in any populated area of earth has more than one lane !
if you plan your village for the future it will grow.
100% true.

However, I did put a disclaimer that I was autistic, so for my type, any change is "ego dystonic" (or that's what the shrink says) hence... my post.

But again, you're 100% right but it does feel (TO ME) like an overload and I've quit sites and games for less. It says something that I'm still here. I do like the site.

Still, if change happens too much, I'll wish you all well and I'll stop bothering you.

Better to have all 4. Keep NTR as an umbrella so someone can exclude all of them. Especially if it stays limited to excluding 10 tags, which isn't anywhere close to enough. I want to block at least the ones where anyone else fucks a LI. And with the meager 10 limit it isn't enough when there are 3 different ones. Just like futa has like 3 or 4 different ones.
Boorus have tag implications.
We could have a graph with grouping of the pair people hate, and then the grouping of the 3 concepts. But document the graph properly. There are tools for that. The concept used to be called ontology in the semantic web days.

A teeny tiny thing: reactions. Consider giving reactions some love - maybe even make new ones part of the Shop. As nice as it is to have 5 different variants of 'thinking', it often feels like none of them quite fit the moment, so the default is usually the generic thumbs up instead. The cooldown is also tragic, but it’s understandable.

I'd go on, but chatting to the void is only so entertaining before the silence gets loud.

Capitalize the “U” in “uploaders”; it just looks stupid compared to the other text and annoys me every time I see it.
Done. Fixed another one that you didn't mention as well.

We were promised that the threads and content that were deleted or lost during the many rollbacks would be restored, but that still hasn't happened.

Important Update - Missing Threads/Games + Process Change + Theme Color Feedback

Your Work Is Not Forgotten

And please don't come back with another excuse about how it can't be done or with a vague promise like “I'll see what I can do” - we've heard that before, and nothing has happened anyway.
I know nothing about backups, servers, or any of that. I don't and have never had access to any of it.

The site currently feels stable(ish). I don't know if any of that is recoverable, how it would be recovered, or what even is missing, but if restoring it involves trying to automatically bring stuff back from some backup version of something, I'd avoid it. I don't want that to break something else on the site.

I don't have a good understanding of what was lost in that, so it might be more important than how I'm assessing it right now.

Get rid of those pointless ranks - which aren’t really ranks at all, but just perks that let you make cosmetic changes.
This isn’t Discord, where you have to pay extra for such useless junk.
Selling user-friendliness is just as stupid as making users pay for enhanced security settings.
It’s just despicable business practices and a money-grabbing scheme.
Users should be rewarded for using this site instead of others, rather than being milked or forced to interact with the site through coercive measures.
I agree with changing up how the system works. We could use a bunch of re-organization of the ranks, but I don't have an issue with selling silly cosmetics.

Once users have acquired all of the ranks, they often ask for things to spend their coins on. If anything, I'd want to find other interesting ideas for things to spend coins on. In a fun gamifying way, not hiding essential site features or anything like that.

I had some ideas.

update the site guidelines and bring them up to date; so far, they are either outdated or contain conflicting information, and no one knows which information is correct.
Agreed. I did a bunch of that already. There are so many of those that you probably didn't notice that I've removed at least a dozen out-of-date information threads.

We obviously have a lot more that are out-of-date.

Get rid of the banking system and all types of coins!
Yeah, I know that would make the shop unnecessary, but nobody needs it anyway.
There needs to be some kind of barrier on the site. Whether that's activity, time, or some other process is up for debate. This is the one that's here. It has its issues, but removing it entirely seems like it would not be a stable transition.

If you want to get someone to funding (not, "donate" to) the site , motivate them with good service, not with empty promises or ranks and perks that you withhold from regular users.
People should donate for good and honest reasons, not to buy an advantage over others who lack the financial means
Agree with this completely. There are a lot of users who will donate to keep a site they appreciate up and running.
Post automatically merged:

I think the old system with different content at mem+, p1, p2, p3, p4 and p5 was best. But I would only mention and expose in shop the next level once you have the previous ones for a while. For antis, they just see public and maybe mem+ if they are dedicated.
Many did not like the complexity it added. We also had a preview page that showed what images were allowed in the next step to users based on their ranks.

And the problem is that you assume that people don't talk.

Site stability should be on the top.
I agree completely.

I understand there are far more important changes which should be made, but the one thing that really irritates me is having to wait two and a half minutes between likes (or reactions, w/e).
Yeah, that shocked me when it happened. I was literally on the site talking in the forums when that reaction cooldown was added a couple of years ago. The first Prestige rank removes that limit. It was limited to cut down on the like-for-like spamming in the early days of the coins system.

It's definitely something we should consider tweaking, so thanks for bringing it up.

when I checked yesterday it was 2500 AC (not AC 2.0). This change is new, it was 5000 just a few days ago. I suspect they halved it because it was never meant to be 5000 to begin with. I know they temporarily made all the AC requirements for levels super high so ppl would not spent coin during the -re-re-re-rebuild.
I don't know what the plan for those were, but I'd made a suggestion a while back to have those adjusted and when I re-posted my suggestion, we got this change.

How about we quit using obtuse Japanese terms like a bunch of weebs? Why not just have [cuckold], [cheating], [stealing] and the like?
I agree with you there, but I think we'd have to change our whole system of tagging. A lot of these tags get pulled from the developers' pages where they list tags for their content, so we'd have to have a system in place to automatically translate some of them.

Something I had suggested many months ago were a few different roles to help out on LC. I was suggesting that we have:
  • Uploaders - to upload new games and/or update existing games. (We have some awesome uploaders already!)
  • Game Curators - to clean up game posts, details, previews, tags, etc. and ensure the games section is tidy and usable.
  • Games Moderators - to focus on moderation tasks within games threads, helping with uploads and curation as-needed.
I think if we went down that path, we'd have people who could help fix up threads and do some amazing stuff with tag clean-up!

By the same token, [trans] and [futa] are not the same thing. Trans people are real, while [futa] is another fictional Japanese hentai trope that is totally fake - chicks that have dicks as well as pussies, when real trans people have to choose. Keep the [futa] tag because there is no Western equivalent, but separate it from [trans].
Agreed. They're not the same and should probably get separated.

Ah, yes. Everybody needs to be on the same page and agree to keep quiet. I also thought "next level by invitation only" but same issue there. Oh well.

It was deleted (the add on that controls it)

While I don't have a whole lot of input to give, the one area I have some trouble with is the shop and the things tied to it. I imagine this topic has been beaten to death, but as a whole, I don't see the system as a bad thing since it helps lock out bad actors while keeping people invested. However, the sheer amount of currencies is a tad confusing and some feel completely redundant. From what I have seen, there are Activity Coins, Activity Coins 2.0, Donation Coins, and Platinum Coins, yet the shop provides no description of where to actually obtain them despite being the spot to spend them. A short blurb would go a long way to ease that confusion, and the purchasable items should also provide more information; right now, the number of banners is staggering, but the only way I know of to see which is which is through Inspect Element. A few quality-of-life measures would help ease people into the system much better.

What is important and what isn't is relative and depends on whether you've formed a connection to it or what memories you associate with it.

@Apollo said he would keep searching through the backups until everything that was lost (I say “deleted on purpose”) was restored.
Judging by what he said, it should be possible to restore a few threads that haven’t been replaced by new ones in the meantime.
I’m not talking about game threads; I have two very specific ones in mind that were intentionally deleted.

I already mentioned one of them in the post I linked to.
The other is directly related to the first and is part of my own and LC's history, and it would be very sad for me if the memory of the events associated with it were to fade into oblivion.

The LC Avenger and his JUSTICE LEAGUE©

Yes, that’s the one that exists here and, in this form, only here.
And since its introduction, it has caused more problems and led to more frustration than it would have solved, even if it had worked as intended.
Implementing access restrictions to the Members+ area, like on other sites, wasn’t enough; someone had to introduce a system that some people - myself included - even call a paywall.
What’s the point of all these ranks, and why divide the images into three different sections, each with its own rules and user areas?
It’s absolute nonsense and totally unnecessary - other sites that don’t monetize content would never even consider imposing such absurdity on their users.

Many did not like the complexity it added. We also had a preview page that showed what images were allowed in the next step to users based on their ranks.

This has nothing to do with your reply to me; I'm just leaving it here because it also proves that the ranking system has more drawbacks than benefits.

I agree with changing up how the system works. We could use a bunch of re-organization of the ranks, but I don't have an issue with selling silly cosmetics.

You're active on almost every other site I know, and you play an important role there and in the community as a whole; You know your stuff and you know what's going on, so why you, of all people, are so into this coin game is a real mystery to me.
In the end, they weren't good for much more than bragging about anyway, and you don't really believe that this won't happen again in the future, do you?

Once users have acquired all of the ranks, they often ask for things to spend their coins on. If anything, I'd want to find other interesting ideas for things to spend coins on. In a fun gamifying way, not hiding essential site features or anything like that.

Now that the commotion over the lost millions and billions has calmed down, and no one is really mourning those losses anymore, now would be the perfect time to finally free ourselves from this curse and bid farewell to this misguided monetary system.
The longer we wait, the greater the risk of becoming stuck in the same trap, and in a few months or years we’ll find ourselves right back where we are today - but we’ve been there before, and it’s slowly becoming a cherished tradition for us to just go around in circles instead of making real progress.
Besides, at some point you just get tired of complaining about the same things; you just leave.

I had some ideas.

- Activity Coins 3.0?
- Sports betting?
- A peep show?
- A strip club or a virtual brothel?
- Live chat with real Porn stars?
- A streaming service? 🤣

Please don't reply ! ! ! ! - I don't want you to spoil the surprise and the anticipation for me. 😁

Agreed. I did a bunch of that already. There are so many of those that you probably didn't notice that I've removed at least a dozen out-of-date information threads.
We obviously have a lot more that are out-of-date.

You’ve probably noticed what all these - and many other threads and questions - are about.
Coins and ranks, how to earn them, and what you get in return.
These are entirely avoidable and artificially created topics that serve no purpose other than to drive interaction on the website.
Perhaps you should add a few more items to your volunteer task list, especially for customer service representatives who focus exclusively on answering these types of questions.

And since the topic is relevant right now and the reactions have already been mentioned in this and other threads:
Get rid of the redundant, unnecessary, and non-functional ones and replace them with a few useful ones.

You know this one, for example:

aka helpful

Couple it with a reward, and you’ll see that more people will be willing to help those who need it.
The same goes for the report function - reward those who use it to report problems.

That's all from me for now.
Thanks for listening and for your reply.

I see in the Shop the bundle for Prestige.
Opening to view the bundle, it has P1 through P5.
It shows that I have as "Owned" P1, P4 and P5.
However, back when the Prestige Ranks were started, I had used my coins to obtain all ranks in Sequence (including P6 - QC Testing).
Therefore, not only did I lose some coins during the restructure, but now I appear to have lost P2 and P3 (and P6 no longer exists?).
I'll bet that this is true for others.
Please restore to everybody what they have had taken from them (coins probably don't matter, but ranks and badges do to me).
Lastly, I cannot find a thread, page or chart that shows which rank each badge represents (perhaps that would be a good addition).
If it already exists, perhaps making it more accessible, like clicking on a badge brings up the page/thread.

can we just unlock the forbidden zone?
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for here. You just want to access the Members+ area without needing to pass the barrier?

I agree with bringing back AI, that's what made this site different imo. Just put a age limit on it (aka no toddlercon)
The site has AI, just not the same AI that it used to have. For example, long ago, the site allowed younger-looking characters to be in public threads as long as the images were entirely SFW without even a hint of sexuality in them.

That's no longer allowed anywhere on the site.

Now you've got me curious - what did I miss? 🤔
But if you've already fixed it, it doesn't matter anymore. 🤷‍♂️

You're welcome. There were two other lowercase titles if you used the dropdowns in the top nav.

You're active on almost every other site I know, and you play an important role there and in the community as a whole; You know your stuff and you know what's going on, so why you, of all people, are so into this coin game is a real mystery to me.

I get around, and you're right that this is the only site that uses the coin system. RW had a barrier that was activity based. I think you needed some posts, some reactions, and possibly some reputation given by other users to earn their VIP and Elite ranks for example. I know FH had an Active User rank or something like that. It was also based on activity and reactions from others as well. ATF and other sites have similar barriers.

The one thing that I like about coins as opposed to those activity approaches is that, in theory, the coins can allow for more than one avenue to achieve the same result. Other sites sometimes change the barrier to make it harder or easier to get access. Some have a time limit for how long the account can exist. With coins, if you come in and are immediately popular and interesting, you gain access quickly. Faster than you might from a pure activity based solution.

It's not a good system, but I don't think the others are either. I also don't think I have the authority to remove the coin system either.

nd since the topic is relevant right now and the reactions have already been mentioned in this and other threads:

Agreed 100% with this. I've been intending to disable tons of reactions if I can without breaking things. I'd like to trim it down to the basics and add a few that we're clearly missing like that one you're showing there.

That's the big problem. In face that NSFW were allowed on a certain part got taken away from people who spent a long time earning it. The purges before were a reason people left. Considering not many Games+ are worked on anymore...

P6? I only had P5. I wonder what I missed.

I'm a bit mixed on this. It was nice to see content you don't often see elsewhere but I'm also glad it was removed due to the risks involved.

I do miss the 'Cuties' badge though, it was really cute!

🤔
I wish the site wouldn't hide content under so many layers. If you are going to add a 'pay to fap' option, please just one payment. I haven't been checking the site this year, so please excuse me if I'm wrong about this.

Literally nothing. There was never any P6 content.

We have greatly reduced the layers. It's just these:
  • Public - All site members can access this.
  • Games+/Members+ - Only site members with Members+ rank can access this.
  • VIP - Only site members with Prestige ranks (any of them) can access this.
