What are some features in games you'd like to see, or see in more games? At least within the time, monetary, and physical constraints the mostly unpaid indie devs are subjected to.
For me, in no particular order:
For me, in no particular order:
- Allow me to set a routine in a grindy game. If my days are "Wake, Breakfast, School, Homework, Seduce, Sleep" in a neverending cycle at least spare me having to manually select each step and only interrupt the routine if something needs my attention or I *want* to interact.
- Let me set the reading speed. I hate when the text appears letter by letter at a snails pace, with is true for me in 95% of games.
- Closed captioning. I don't need every slap written out, but story-relevant stuff like thunder, explosions, … would be nice.
- Let me skip minigames. If it's a minigame to earn something, just award me the statistical average, or the average of the last n manually played games.
