Legend of Dragoon.

Maybe Sony was testing the waters with the PS4/5 digital store with this one. Hope they make it.

It's a playstation 1 game that was 4 disc. General summary is that you play as an average guy that gets caught up in an ancient war and get the power of dragons.

That sounds rather good, hmmmm. So many PS1 and 2 games id love to be remade. same with like 360 games and original xbox games

KOTOR 1 remade by Larian Studios. I don't think their writing style would do well with KOTOR 2 though, and unfortunately there aren't any studios up to that task right now.

If you like Final Fantasy or things like that you'd probably like it. It's turn-based, but you have to use button inputs to improve your damage. You could liken it to Expedition 33 from modern games.

You won't get it remade by Larian since it's in the hands of Saber, but it's confirmed to be in the works so you will get a remake.

Expedition 33 isn't a AAA title so it's cheaper and if you wait for a sale you can get it at a pretty good price. I believe they have a demo though that you can try.

I have access to it just never really felt drawn to it. It looks good but not like something id complete if that makes sense. Now KOTOR cant wait

Part of me wants to say Final Fantasy VI, but with how much Squaresoft has fumbled FFVII remakes potential I think it would be better spent on something like Knights of the Old republic.. than i remembered that Bio-ware completely lost the plot..

Perhaps its just old age getting to me but at some point point classics should just remain classics, if a studio can not come up with something original to capture an audiences than why would I expect them to do any better on top of someone else' work.

Noooooo I want Larian out there making new games, let someone less talented do the remakes (given the writing is already done, which is half the issue).

Perhaps its just old age getting to me but at some point point classics should just remain classics, if a studio can not come up with something original to capture an audiences than why would I expect them to do any better on top of someone else' work.

The issue is that classics become unplayable as formats and time moves (unlike movies), they need a migrate/update to stay functional. Problem is when they update they decide they can do the dialogue better or story and change it for the worse, instead of just updating it.

For me its like art restoration on masterpieces, but in the games industry the fuckers go 'hmm I think I could do that smile better' and change it rather than refresh it.

I would love a remake of LOZ Ocarina of Time or Majora Mask, I remember they wanted to add more on majora mask but they didn't have time since they where given a year to finish the game. The 3DS version was a lot of improvements but in quality of life.

I to wish classics could stay classic but i want them to be playable and enjoyable on newer hardware. Typically without having to jump through hoops.

Thats why i specified things the way i did. I hate when they change or "Update Writing" like no. I want it to be updated to be playable on new hardware. maybe better physics. leave the story and characters alone. Im fine with them adding more content if necessary but do not change the base story or characters and the new content should have to match.

If I can assume that the remake is made well, I'd go for Tales of Phantasia or Chorno trigger. They are both pretty fantastic as is but it would be cool to see an updated version.

Yah its definitely a gamble if a remake will be done well but one can hope for them. Interesting choices as well.

To be honest I can't stand remakes anymore, they got tiresome, we need sequels of older forgotten games, that's much better

I can agree but im also sick of subpar sequels that genuinely kill franchises for me
