Looks like the Arma 3 Engine, there are afaik several Zombie-themed mods available.

Yes it is. Has anyone tried the beast yet? I enjoyed the first Dying Light, hated the DLC because of the ending, but they fixed that launching Dying Light the Beast.

I heard the second one is not so good. It shows up in sale sometimes for xbox. I just love zombie games, but I keed getting the feeling it will be added any time to gamepass. So I keep postponing to buy it.

There are some discord servers out there that notify you whenever there are free games on Epic or Steam. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to servers here and I'd rather not risk it as one of my first messages in the forum but I just wanted to let you know

Then you should be good, the following is terrible. When the following was announced I thought it would give a good closer to the already bad ending of the vanilla game. And then they have ruined it even more.
