Garlic is a blood thinner, and was thought to be a blood purifier. Eastern europe folklore held that vampirism was a blood disease, ergo garlic could both stop you becoming a vampire, and taint you as a food source.

but that ignore button only stops one way.
the ignored person can still be talking shit & you'd never know

Although Cypher was an asshole, he was right about one thing:

how about the inviting to home thing, like if you dont invite them to your home they cannot enter.

Thought it also has anti-bacterial properties?

O I see. That makes sense, but according to myths before Bram Stoker put hi story, vampires, or in Rumania, Stragoi, are the undead, so, in this case they seem not to even have any blood, so the garlic theory would only work if they were blood filled beings lol.

Then again, perhaps many legends believe they are literally "blood filled" humans risen from the dead to consume either the souls or blood of the living.

Anyhow, my useless ramblings.

Makes sense they thought garlic purified, so therefore evil vampires of "demonic origins" would be killed

I'm not a demonic vampire, just a cute lil old foolish one who will steel a bit of blood here and there. nothing too drastic hehe

I shall keep a clover of garlic near me at all times. I don't want to be a (vampire) eaten by another vampire.... although??? this could actually be enjoyable. Sigh

A random thing off the top of my head: I remember readimgnsomething about garlic havimg amtiseptic properies and people chew raw garlic to prevent plaque and other stuff. I'll look up that suff later when I have time.

Hi, i wasnt online for a couple of months. Site changed a lot. What are activity coins 2.0? whats the difference and how to get them?

Good morning and happy Taco Tuesday. It's also International Beaver Day. No, not that kind, the animal.

Just do what I do and throw some garlic in a pan before making something like eggs

I think this myth may have been invented by Hollywood. Although I am just guessing. I don't think vampires need permission to enter, although the cops or home owner may be the greatest threat lol

I actually like garlic and turmeric ect. Its good in Italian and some other foods. Kinda tasty.

Hi all, i am new to the site. The welcome message is what got me to post rather then just lurk.
"Lurkers" "Anti-social" "just wanting to enjoy some loli content" pretty much sums it up.
I'm a white collar worker, office type, the good o'l rat race and so on... don't get me wrong i enjoy love the work i do. but the social circle is all corporate, throw each other under the bus types. Due to COVID lock down everything went online, 5-6 years later people still don't know how to unmute them self or turn on a webcam.
I am a HUGE fucking NERD. i game, i run a home server, sail the seas with a docker-ed seedbox, the full Arr setup private trackers and usenet.
so its easy to tell that i don't work with people who would be super keen to engage in tech talk. so yeah, that's me, just a nerd at heart who enjoys a bit of lewdness, and a sucker for a good H-game.

It went back before Hollywood and in at least some early vampire movies, like the original Dracula ones, the vampire does enter without permission.

Yeah, true, but I do wonder where it originated, even before the movies. Im sure there were stories about Medieval times where vampires couldn't enter a home, or Holly place without permission lest they be killed/die. Im not sure about the vampire's thing, but I know some demonology legends do say evil spirits can never enter a house/building blessed by a priest or proteted by some charm or spell or something. Vampires seem to maybe follow similar myths, but I don't know the beginnings of the myths, but yes, you are rite it was before Hollywood.

Unless Bram Stokers was the first to invent the "permission" myth???

although I also heard demons/evil ones can go wherever they please. Seems vampire lor follows different path at times to that of demons and spirits.

IIRC it's something they simply CAN'T enter a house without permission. Holy place they can't period or doing so will injure/kill them. They also can't cross running water. Vampires are a representation of disease and a lot of the things bad for them are healthy (or were thought to be) - garlic, running water, sunlight.... Holy things because it was a much more religious time than now.

@lokoralwosod

Hi! Welcome to LewdCorner~
I hope you enjoy your time here and not only find what you're looking for, but also discover new and interesting things. Don't be shy about joining in on the conversations—you're more likely to be reborn in an isekai than to run into a toxic user around here.

Tips and information:
  1. Read the Rules—they're non-negotiable and not open to debate—so you can avoid getting into trouble.
  2. This forum has a “Rank” system that separates the content users can see and access. These ranks can be obtained in the Shop, though not necessarily with money, and certain ranks can only be earned by fulfilling a role on the forum.
  3. In addition to ranks, the forum features a coin system. These include Activity Coins (AC), Activity Coins 2.0 (AC 2.0), Donation Coins (DC), and Platinum Coins (PC).
  4. You can earn AC and AC 2.0 by being active on the forum—whether by commenting or receiving reactions. Don’t forget to give reactions, and avoid spamming. You can earn DC and PC by donating to the forum; the forum is supported by donations, which is why you’ll never see annoying ads on the site.
  5. To view restricted content (Mainly Lolisho), you need to be a Member+, a rank you can buy in the Shop (it’s intuitive, but ask if you have trouble).
  6. In the Shop, there’s a tab called Vault, where you can deposit your AC (minimum 500 per deposit) so they grow every 24 hours at a 1% interest rate and with a limit of 500 coins generated by that interest.
  7. In addition to the “Member+” rank, there are “Prestige” ranks ranging from 1 to 5. These offer the same benefits as Member+ but include additional perks. Furthermore, higher ranks include all the benefits of the ranks below them.
  8. The forum has a server and will eventually launch its own platform to break away from and its anti-privacy practices, which put users' security at risk. You're welcome to join.
  9. If you encounter any issues or need a moderator to look into something, please use the reports and support tickets. Don't leave a problem unreported.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. There are no stupid questions; nobody is born knowing everything—never let a question go unanswered.
