I think this myth may have been invented by Hollywood. Although I am just guessing. I don't think vampires need permission to enter, although the cops or home owner may be the greatest threat lolhow about the inviting to home thing, like if you dont invite them to your home they cannot enter.
It went back before Hollywood and in at least some early vampire movies, like the original Dracula ones, the vampire does enter without permission.I think this myth may have been invented by Hollywood. I actually like garlic and turmeric ect. Its good in Italian and some other foods. Kinda tasty.
Yeah, true, but I do wonder where it originated, even before the movies. Im sure there were stories about Medieval times where vampires couldn't enter a home, or Holly place without permission lest they be killed/die. Im not sure about the vampire's thing, but I know some demonology legends do say evil spirits can never enter a house/building blessed by a priest or proteted by some charm or spell or something. Vampires seem to maybe follow similar myths, but I don't know the beginnings of the myths, but yes, you are rite it was before Hollywood. It went back before Hollywood and in at least some early vampire movies, like the original Dracula ones, the vampire does enter without permission.
IIRC it's something they simply CAN'T enter a house without permission. Holy place they can't period or doing so will injure/kill them. They also can't cross running water. Vampires are a representation of disease and a lot of the things bad for them are healthy (or were thought to be) - garlic, running water, sunlight.... Holy things because it was a much more religious time than now.Yeah, true, but I do wonder where it originated, even before the movies. Unless Bram Stokers was the first to invent the "permission" myth???
although I also heard demons/evil ones can go wherever they please. Seems vampire lor follows different path at times to that of demons and spirits.

honestly being undead would be kind of cool. i dont like the sun anyway so that dont matter to me at all. Its a plus if i get powers as wellThats true, but if the bastard takes your heart I will have to make you undead like me. forever cursed with the lust for blood drinking.... Not such a bad life if you think about it, but yes, humans can live very decent lives with 1 kidney as long as they are careful.
