I’ve never played it, the closest thing to a furry game that I’ve played and liked was Sonic Adventure. What game is this?
It's really hard to describe, but basically you play as Red (no, my username doesn't come from there), a bounty hunter who works with his sister Chocolat. During a mission to steal an item from some flying pirates, they find themselves caught up in something much bigger.

The game is divided into two parts, which are like “seasons” of a series. It's an RPG that seems very simple in terms of mechanics and story, but it actually has a lot of depth. The world-building is top-notch, and the characters are quite interesting.

That Solatorobo: Red the Hunter? Haven't played it but I wanna. Played and beat FUGA Melodies of Steel 1. Stopped my 2nd playthrough genocide run. Played some of FUGA Melodies of Steel 2
Exactly that~

Howdy folks. Saw this place recommended so I figured I'd check it out. Usually not too social, but I'll give it the 'ol try.
welcome! also a newbie to talking on here lmao

Just a heads up, probably gonna try to lurk less for the sake of not spending all day around here and actually doing things.
your art is so cute!!

Sounds interesting, it reminded me of something like Power Stone, or Breath of Fire in transformation, but I didn’t dig too deep to avoid spoilers. I’ll put it on my list to play.
Is it an RPG, action, or turn-based?

I’ve always thought your images are really good, this one for example, turned out great.

Now I’m curious to know what ridiculous stuff you added to it. :P
Thanks! I had trouble getting anything good from that theme so I didn't try to add silliness. I started with doing Olympics style winners podiums, but Perchance kept putting the gamer girl on the first podium but 2 and 3 were only heads and torsos.

It's definitely an action RPG, although the combat is... different. As a minor spoiler (though not really, since you see it in the tutorial), Red pilots a small mech, and the combat style involves knocking enemies down, grabbing them, and throwing them, or performing combos while holding them.
Without the mech, Red only has a paralyzing sword.

But like any good RPG, there are plenty of mini-games—the fishing one, in particular, is... funny. Here’s a spoiler in case you’re interested; it has nothing to do with the story.

Well in this world, fishing involves catching hermit crabs—except these crabs are gigantic, Godzilla-sized, and you catch them because they build their shells out of shipwreck debris.

has anyone played dead cells? i've been loving that game recently
It's amazing how a game can become a damn classic without even being that old. For me, that's Dead Cells.

Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is an action RPG. FUGA Melodies of Steel is an on-rails 2D turn-based game where you ride a tank and control it's guns with the cast. Swapping mates constantly is the name of the game here. Speed is the lifeblood of battle. Don't get caught with ya pantsu down due to using the wrong member and misreading turn order.

I see haha, on this theme I gave up trying too much. I tried to put my vision into someone doing a speedrun, and the image turned out so depressing that I gave up and tried to make something more generic hahaha.
I see some prompt gods having so much control over their image generations, I’d love to know how they do it.

I have thalassophobia, and yet I still played Subnautica... I didn't finish it; I ended up building a base way far from where the Reapers appear because... fuck, that shit terrifies me. Excellent Game

Threre are some awesome let's plays from people who played and finished subnautica with thalassophobia (and yes there are certainly ppl who only pretend, and also there are of course different severities of phobias) ... it's extremely rewarding watching those overcome the fear bit by bit. It's one of my fav kind of content having run on my 2nd screen while working... that or marine-biologists playing it.

100% the same for me, everytime i get to a new area or fight a new enemy i'm just blown by how unique it all feels.

the atmosphere is incredible and the music is amazing.

if anyone is a fan of dungeon crawlers, i 100% recommend dead cells it's perfect

I played it some on my phone the last couple years of High School. Never got too deep into it. Mostly cause of playing it on a phone instead of a PC. I'll have to keep an eye on it getting cheap enough to justify buying on Steam though. That or 🏴‍☠️ it.

Subnautica is another game i absolutely love. i completely get how that triggers thalassophobia. Some of the areas would give me a pit in my stomach when exploring them.
Very excited for the 2nd one

I know, and Subnautica is exactly my kind of game, but I just can't seem to finish it. It's too hard for me to play because it makes me way too nervous.

I also love Metroidvania games, so Dead Cells is right up my alley. And speaking of Metroidvania... I highly recommend Blasphemous, but you have to play it with the audio in Spanish—the voice acting is glorious.

yeah definitely keep an eye out for it, the DLC has just as much love as the main game

I will add that to my list, thank you for the suggestion

I don't like it, takes too long to get a setup i like. Excellent music though.

yeah that's understandable, if you're not a fan of games where your set is luck based then definitely not the option for you.

100% on the music though, beautiful soundtrack

Since I’m recommending some lesser-known games (and a few well-known ones) that I love… here’s one that’s a real gem. The art style, atmosphere, humor, gameplay, story, it has it all. Chroma Squad

You have to listen to the game's theme song

Welcome back—tell us how it went
well half of it was trying to tame an owlbear, the other was the fight, one player has now joined the lords alliance. ended at a tavern with their resedent fox femboy and the one who wanted to romance him chickened out and went to bed.
