You did fine right here! I find the best way for people to join the conversation is just to read some messages on the current (or previous) page and reply to one or more people!

I think artwork is more fun though!

After a few times you will get to know people and then you will be messaging non stop.

Haven't watched many anime at all but I really loved Death Note and Black Clover. Never got around to watching Demon Slayer season 3 but I enjoyed that show as well.

Death note and Black clover have been some of my favorite anime's for years. Good choice on those. I haven't watched demon slayer yet, but it is one that is already in my queue (my siblings wont stop talking about it, lol)

enshitfication of the Internet
What strange and hilarious timing! I just came across this yesterday and then you mention this today. Enjoy.

Forbrukerrådet made a 100 page PDF, "Breaking Free: Pathways to a fair technological future", it is great (and funny). Check it This vid above was made to complement it.

I found this all this from , following some links lead me to the enshittication. It's about age verification for online users in the US and how it's a filthy Trojan horse made to endlessly steal freedoms. Very very bad stuff going on in the world right now. If you're in the US read this page and truly think about contacting legislators.

Watched a video about this today. They really wanna put age verification right on your system dawg ;_; even Linux is being targeted. Crazy times and everyone needs to fight back. Really sad that it's all being done under the guise of 'child safety' so that no one will criticize anything.

Ghost Stories. Very good and classy anime.
That one was pretty funny. I really should watch it again

Nothing that is for 'child saftey' ever truly is. It's all just about control and data collection. people really need to mtodb

What's even worse is people that defend that kind of shit. I have a buddy of mine who I would walk through hell for but god damn if I had a nickel for every time I've heard them say something along the lines of "It shouldn't be a problem if you have nothing to hide".

Funny you say that. From , "03 Killing Privacy" ...
  • Discord's age verification data was breached in 2025; real names, selfies, ID documents, home addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and billing information all exposed.
  • A separate app leaked 13,000 ID photos and 59,000 selfies from an unsecured database.
  • An identity verification firm left login credentials exposed online for over a year.

That's the kind of mentality that I think most people have, even when you explain the risks, some people just don't really care. Until we start seeing some real negative consequences for regular people most people will feel that way.

I think it is, unfortunately, that most people fit into one of 2 ways of thinking; Either the "I like the guise of safety and security even when it is pretty much fake" or the, "it doesn't affect me, so I don't care"

The sad state of affairs is that most people aren't concerned with online privacy, full stop. Said buddy of mine is more than happy to ask his Google home assistant thingy to turn on his lights. How many other people have something similar to that like Alexa, always listening to everything being said content with the megacorps' pinkie promise that it's totally not surveillance.

What's really strange is when someone seems to get it, but then completely flips. "Damn, these smart home assistants are creepy. I don't want Google listening to everything I say." And then they'll buy one the next day.
