I live in the US (tough it's debatable whether it can still be considered developed.) I'm poor as fuck though.
Dude median PPP is still world second for the common family in the US

Too late, here I am.
In my Adam costume.
(no pic - I will get scolded again)

Good thing I upgraded my ten year old machine a year ago. That would have been very painful now ...
I got 10 years out of my last system as well and I'm thankful I was able to build a new one in the window between covid crazy and AI crazy.

Meh, I'm pretty certain if you find up to date numbers they will still be ranked top 3.

Never looked into the metrics of PPP, but do they exclude private entities with absurd amounts of money?

It's a median, meaning the 50%-th household of all ordered households. So indirectly, yes.

Then the PPP is absolute garbage to compare the purchasing power of the common family.

Thing is, there's a HUGE ceiling effect - because there are some people who are richer than motherfuckers while the median would be much lower and the poorest are like 3rd world level poor.

This is irrelevant because it's a median.

Consider 10 people with the following incomes: $1 $1 $1 $3 $5 $5 $5 $6 $8 $1000
Then the median income of this group would still be $5

We just learned Konami finally announced a new Castlevania game, the timeline is healing. Perfect news to learn before work

Care to explain why?
Kinda complex, but the shortest possible answer is, that billionaires are skewing the statistics by often not paying taxes, but still receiving subsdies. This raises the turnover of money that never "worked". So in average everyone would have more money, that never could even reach the median reference group. As wealthier (= more super rich) are in a country, the more skewed it gets. The proportion would tilt.
As example if you compare Germany to United Kingdom. In the PPP chart it would mean, that Britons are literally poor peasanst compared to Germans. That ain't adding up.
But f you look here:

You will see where the difference comes from. The amount of super rich people.
