I got 10 years out of my last system as well and I'm thankful I was able to build a new one in the window between covid crazy and AI crazy.Good thing I upgraded my ten year old machine a year ago. That would have been very painful now ...

Meh, I'm pretty certain if you find up to date numbers they will still be ranked top 3.I got 10 years out of my last system as well and I'm thankful I was able to build a new one in the window between covid crazy and AI crazy.

Never looked into the metrics of PPP, but do they exclude private entities with absurd amounts of money?Meh, I'm pretty certain if you find up to date numbers they will still be ranked top 3.
It's a median, meaning the 50%-th household of all ordered households. So indirectly, yes.Never looked into the metrics of PPP, but do they exclude private entities with absurd amounts of money?
Then the PPP is absolute garbage to compare the purchasing power of the common family. It's a median, meaning the 50%-th household of all ordered households. So indirectly, yes.
Care to explain why? Then the PPP is absolute garbage to compare the purchasing power for the common family.
Thing is, there's a HUGE ceiling effect - because there are some people who are richer than motherfuckers while the median would be much lower and the poorest are like 3rd world level poor. It's a median, meaning the 50%-th household of all ordered households. So indirectly, yes.
This is irrelevant because it's a median.Thing is, there's a HUGE ceiling effect - because there are some people who are richer than motherfuckers while the median would be much lower and the poorest are like 3rd world level poor.
Kinda complex, but the shortest possible answer is, that billionaires are skewing the statistics by often not paying taxes, but still receiving subsdies. This raises the turnover of money that never "worked". So in average everyone would have more money, that never could even reach the median reference group. As wealthier (= more super rich) are in a country, the more skewed it gets. The proportion would tilt.Care to explain why?
