Yeah, I’ve come to the same realization. Thank God we were born in the modern era, where we have endless entertainment to distract us from existential dread.Lately I came to the understanding the point of life is basically boredom and repetition.
As I spend each day doing the same thing and the other half being bored every day.
Also you all are gambling addicts and need help.
I hadn't thought about that view on medieval vs modern entertainment. But yeah the goal was to reach the same outcome.Yeah, I’ve come to the same realization. Thank God we were born in the modern era, where we have endless entertainment to distract us from existential dread.
Imagine being born in the medieval era, where your main sources of entertainment were watching traveling performers, listening to tavern gossip, or staring into a fire and contemplating your inevitable death.
EDIT:
Now that I think about it, medieval entertainment might’ve actually been better. It was all about living in the moment because there was no way to capture it.
Modern entertainment, meanwhile, is obsessed with capturing the moment, saving it, and sharing it, often at the cost of actually enjoying it.
Different eras, different habits, same outcome: keeping ourselves occupied long enough to forget our cosmic insignificance.
I thought mods could just print AC coins the way the Federal Bank prints money.I don't know how much longer I'll be sending out the coins, so please check this out while you can!
I’m an introvert, so that’s basically my dream come true. Just nature, quiet, and no people.Still boring as were I live there is nothing it's the bum fuck country side with minimal public transportation.
What would you recommend? When I was an absolute entertainment fiend (had a job where I just killed ~7 hours of the 8 hour workday) I read a massive amount, like 5 books a week. Libraries are your friend. You already pay for them, may as well take advantage.
Kindles too. It's very easy to find ebooks and there are even online libraries where you can check them out.
Only cost is transportation to and from the library or the Kindle itself, and the negligible amount you need to charge it. Mine easily goes 2+ weeks without a charge reading daily.

The dark and cold days with lack of sunshine take their toll.Lately I came to the understanding the point of life is basically boredom and repetition.

The lack of immediate entertainment or even better boredom, is a nice way to cope with life. Something something survival instinct.Yeah, I’ve come to the same realization. Thank God we were born in the modern era, where we have endless entertainment to distract us from existential dread.

This implies that @MattShizzle dislikes lesbian sex, expressed through a condescending take that @ylntla81! has little chance with Mary Sue.Don't worry, I also don't get it.
Ooo the insightThis implies that @MattShizzle dislikes lesbian sex, expressed through a condescending take that @ylntla81! has little chance with Mary Sue.
But a man who enjoys lesbian sex would naturally still be hopeful. Low odds don’t change that.
Trust me, I’m fluent in Matt-Shizzle-ism.
