with the success of project zomboid we may see some more isometric games in future from indie devs too.

Project Zomboid is so brutal on the default settings. Even with the settings tweaked like not dying from scratches (or was it bites), increasing the reading speed, it's still brutal. I didn't have much fun playing it and I tried for 60 hours.

I just found out you could emote...that would have made it at least 5% better...

EDIT: Missed opportunity fixed, changed whole to hole

That's why they weren't good. The original Wasteland from 1986 was. Totally different way it worked. Combat was all text based.

problem for me is that in wasteland 1 you cannot become a pornstar, which you can in fallout 2

I beat it, too. Also have an emulator for Commodore 64 and downloaded the version for it years ago and beat it again. Actually several times by just copying over the old version of disks (or disk images) and redoing, or with different characters with the top weapons and armor traded from old to new characters.
