Is it his time on twitter that causes the delays? Probably not, but he is definitely not working on his game most of the time. No one believes that it takes him a whole year to write the story and the code for the game. The updates aren't even that big. If this was a game like Being a DIK for example, where you have a LOT of girls with many different paths, minigames and free roam events, then yea, it would make sense for it to take such a long time. But that is not the case here.
I don't know who he is trying to fool.

The dev has 20 chapters planned for the game, right now he is releasing 1 update per year so it would take him 13 years to finish the game. Even if he started releasing 2 updates per year it would still take him another 6 or 7 years to finish this. Keep in mind that this game is already 5 years old. So yea... I don't see this ever being finished.

I mean if by regularly, you mean 1 small update per year then yea... you are right lol. I think the negativity is 100% justified especially when some of the updates take well over a year to be released and the dude is on twitter bragging about spending hundreds of hours playing final fantasy. While also not communicating with his supporters on what is going on with the game.

Now imagine you're supporting him monthy let's say 10 bucks, for you it doesn't seem much but he get 120 a Year just from you and in return you get a single Update apart from monthly "Wallpapers" he redeem worthy the Money.
So the way i see it the frustration is justified even from people that get the Update for free because as you wrote, they love the Game.

I presumed that most of the people complaining here, aren't financial supporters and if they are, maybe they should reconsider financially supporting the publisher if they disagree with how they are doing things. The constant complaining and asking for updates is frankly ridiculous. Coming from a software development background it always takes extra time and almost always takes longer than expected. I do agree that the publisher could be more communicative, if that's the case. I mean I want updates just as much as anyone else, it's in my top 3 games.
