3. It is apparent that you have not experienced real cold either. No matter how you dress, after several minutes of wind at -20°C, one thing is pressed on your lips “I want to go to Africa!”.

Being cold isn't a competition of extremes. You can be cold at -4, you can be cold at -16, you can be cold at -35, there are different scales cold.

Don't think thid is about liking cold, rather, choosing extreme cold over extreme heat, i' a hypothetical where temperate weather is not an option.

Depends, is it the whole society/area without electricity or just my home? Cause if i have to pump water manually or carry it over kilometers home ... i think i'd rather do that when i want to warm up than when i want to stay cool.
Also, a simple wood-fire is not exactly high-tech is it

98% humidity at 113° would be a dewpoint of 112.3° - which would be so humid to make breathing all but impossible.
