I don't know about best, but one of my personal favorites is the ren'py port of Ferdafs Rick and Morty game done by Nightmirror on f95zone is my go to. Called Rick and Morty: Another Way Home, the dev took what was a horribly glitchy sandbox mess and turned it into a streamlined visual novel with expanded scenes and better writing, more focus on incest themes, and customization such as what nicknames characters use and ages and the like . They even started to work on an ending for the game once Ferdafs started doing his several months long disappearing acts. Funny enough, after a new record 12 month hiatus (the previous being 9), Ferdafs has returned to add a piddly but of new stuff, so Nightmirror just updated the ren'py port a few days ago

When I was in like 5th grade there was something that had a picture (black and white as it was a handout and in 1984/1985) with a kid brushing his teeth where the toothbrush foam went from like his nose to his chin. A friend and I said it was a picture of "a kid brushing his face."

Gotta love those updates that break saves, but it's fine ill just restart the game anyway to remember what all is happening in the story.
