discussion do people actually buy all these prestige ranks?

Don't get me wrong I get that the site needs money in order to run. but am I the only one who thinks these prices are completely over the top. feel free to explain if you know why the prices are like they are. to me it feels a bit like the site has turned into a money grab more than a community, love the site really do, but the constant forced post asking for money aren't really annoying to me but they do make me think that people don't fall for the prestige prices and no one actually buys them. obviously not my business but I can't help but ask the question are the site really down that bad? I'm curious about others opinion's. I personally would donate if it felt like I would actually get something out of it but it doesn't feel like that when as an example p5 cost 550$ there must really be something special locked behind that prestige

Yeah ill be honest i kinda thought the same thing.. id be interested in chipping in 10-15 a month but not hundreds at once.

The thing with the Prestige Ranks is that Buying them is only if you want to Support the Site, while speeding up Getting the Ranks.
any and all Prestige ranks can be Bought with Activity Coins, so you just have to be Active in the Community to get them.


the main point is:

someone thats just out to report, would not spend that long on the site to earn the ranks, or spend that amount of money on a site that they just want to see get taken down anyways.

also, you can donate any amount (will of course still get Donation Coins) and dont need to Spend a lot of Money on the ranks if your main goal is just to Donate a bit.

You can buy it with coins, it's 100k Activity coins, you can find it in the shop

Not at all, we have the Bank system, which, after getting enough coins, easily nets you a couple thousands every day. as long as you put all your earned coins into the Bank (after claiming the 2%) and then keep doing it once a day, youll be up there in no time (if you are active in the community that is)

not sure what you mean exactly, but if you mean rank Perks,

you get all perks no matter with what you Buy the rank, Except P5 which only gives you P5 access (no matter what you buy it with)

for example, p4 gives you all Perms of the Ranks below it (regardless of what you bought it with).

I'm not quite sure what that means does that mean if you don't buy perm you don't get full perks. can't figure out if I get all perks When I buy a rank with activity coins

now, first of all, you can buy Permanent Ranks with AC.

also, Rank is rank, as long as you have the rank, you get the Perks (all of them), the only difference is that the temp Ranks go away after the Stated Time, thats it. theres nothing different about them Perks-wise.

TBH I don't know the benefits they seem to be secret unless I've missed something. only thing I know is that you get access to threads that are locked for everyone else

There was some guy(probably a few i would imagine) that made mem+ in no time with just lc, what are now activity coins. Not sure if you can still do that or not.

But also, I've just no good reason or funds to allocate to such a thing.

I bought a P4 at one time (not for real money, for LC). I was extremely disappointed. I didn't find anything I was interested in there. And while I could buy a P5, I'm in no hurry to do so. Most likely I will find the same lack of any interesting (for me personally) material there.
