So it appears that pornbay.org has finally been shut down. It was probably one of the best places for XXX torrents.

Does anyone know of an alternative? I am aware of empornium but otherwise been out of the game (torrenting) for awhile so no clue what other sites are there now.

The thing i will miss is the search functions which were really fleshed out. I never was a fan of the search methods on 1337x.

I don't think there is a real replacement for that one except for emp, which is tricky to get into.
If you're willing to try other ways to dl xxx content I know a couple of sites that have a lot of content if you're willing to pay just a little for it.

If you like current releases there is:

If you're open to try usenet there's Kleverig.eu. Getting an account if you don't have one can be tricky though but you can find almost everything from Kleverig
on the NZB indexer site

You can really find a lot there, new and old.
You do need and account for accessing drunkenslug though but this one is really easy to get into.

But in general thats what i am looking for, a magnets/torrents site in the same vein, with very powerful search tools and good tag systems. Sadly my kind of interest seemed to be catered to abit more on pornbay than on emp.

Looked at 0xxx.ws and tried a few searches, and what im looking for had only a few hits.

Its crazy that usenet is still used, i remember manually downloading and pasting floppy sized parts together back in like 1996. And its apparantly still going strong... Almost like a lost tech.

Yeah, usenet is better than ever. Loads of content and not having to worry about ratio is great.
I actually think pornbay is not really taken down but it's a DNS issue. I've seen that on a couple of places. Even though I was met with some takedown notice by what looks to be law enforcement at one point I think it will come up again.

I won't get a response when pinging domain name so I can't swear I got the right adress but I did find a thread on a forum site that mentioned it and listed the ip adresses it uses.
It might have been stupid of me but I just tried one of the adresses. I typed it in where the "pornbay.org" would be in the adress field in the browser and I got in.
All the images are broken links though but it's most likely related to the DNS issue. I don't know if im allowed to post links to other sites here so I won't. I can PM them to you if you're interested.

It would be cool if someone would make a database of all the magnet links on the site and post it somewhere like what they did when rarbg went down. They made a browsable sqlite database backup of the entire site so you could still download content for months after the site itself went down.

I finally got around to finding the IP, log in and yeah it seems there is an issue with a missing payment for the DNS. So panic averted for now. Cant believe i didnt try this myself from the start
