Actually -- There was a method to his madness -- On the Fahrenheit scale, water freezes at 32°F because Daniel Fahrenheit originally defined 0°F as the temperature of a mixture of ice, water, and salt, and then defined the freezing point of water as 32°F, then initially he thought body temperature was 90 based on that 0 to 32 separation 212 was because they wanted 180 degrees between freezing and boiling -- And I have no frigging idea why they wanted the 180 separation
