There is no topic that doesn't get stale or repetitive when focused on long enough. I prefer for a conversation to flow through multiple topics over the course of the interaction. Once my position is established and I've heard the other person's perspective it is time to shelve that topic until one or both parties have something new to add or explore.

I guess the main point is that so many VNs are just a series of convenient accidents with a bunch of like yes-men characters (the MC is a Mary Sue or whatever). Either that, or even worse, a bunch of shitty grind mechanics that add nothing but wasted time. What I'm looking for is a narrative with specific goals and believable, dimensional characters. I think hentai has a similar problem, where there is ample room for plot and character building, but instead it's always like 2 pages of introduction followed by 30 pages of fucking in different positions.

favorite as "oh, that's cool"?: Probably more werewolf

favorite as "if you could be one"?: I would say the "need to drink blood to survive" would be too much trouble, so werewolf

favorite as "oh, that's hot"?: Well... Uhhhh.... If for the werewolf is a FULL transformation, then I would have to say vampire
(love the wolf girls, but a realistic looking werewolf would be too much...)

If you haven't played Mist, that one was pretty solid, in my opinion.

I had to stop because it got grindy and repetitive unfortunately. I appreciate the unique art style in that one though!

Except the free roams are extreme over the top difficult, even with a walkthrough. At the time it got to a party, it was impossible for me.
