Hi, I'm new to all this. Is there anything I should know/watch out for when it comes to downloading files here? Are the links safe? Do y'all have any practices to avoid malware?

I am using mega and pixeldrain for years and I never had any problems. Our uploaders do a really good job.

you're never 100% safe, even the most secure sites can have malwares or vulnerabilities, use a virtual machine if you're not sure

Some are a lot better than others, Mega, pixel drain, work upload, and go files are the ones I use and tend to be the fastest for me.
Of course, none of that matters if the files downloaded are compromised

This is the internet. You have to trust the source or check for yourself. I did not have any problems with the links on here yet. You should follow guides from trusted sources for your security and privacy.

This is why I have Faptop. (a laptop only for adult games and Adult Forum.) Always connected to VPN which blocks all no VPN connections and blocks scam and fishing sites (and ads) and a extra Router, which is not connected to my normal internet devices.
I have nothing personnel at my Faptop.
And I extract all I download to a sandbox and check for Virus and Malware. Which does not help for some compromiss RenPy Games that happened a couple month ago. (YOu can read about it at F 95. Dunno why the pinned thread in this forum gt nuked. I cannot find it anymore on LC

But the links in here are safe, so far. The Uploader do a good job.

I feel like the links from the posters are pretty safe. I usually download from hosters that I am aware of, just to play it safe

As others have said, some hosts I like better than others. Mega, gofile, pixeldrain are my favorites. I ALSO never download a new thing just after posting. Gives folks time to discover those minefields for me

For more tech friendly advice just make sure you have a firewall and an antivirus up to date just to be sure nothing weird happens after running the game

most download links put in here are 100% safe. those like pixeldrain and gofiles have never been an issue to me. The safest one by far is mega, which has a very strict policy against any type of dangerous materials.

if i were you id chose those three. Also don't ever use mediafire because theres always a chance you're cooked.

but overall, as long as you have an antivirus and/or a decent to good ad/tracker blocker like nordVPN you'll be fine

You could try going directly to the dev's page and using their links. It's still not 100% safe, but it's a little safer.

This is actually a great idea, maybe I will get a cheap shitty laptop, the extra router sounds complicated tho
