Is DAZ Hard to Use?

I think one big hurdle that a lot have problems with at the start - and some later - is getting the lighting right. Often i see model faces way to bright and over exposed , or too dark and they look menacing instead of a sexy look 😅

It's worth having a good play with light sources and settings and do a few tutorials on it to see how much good lighing can really impact the look of a scene.

Honestly Daz is neither difficult nor easy, the basic scenery understanding alone is quite simple, but things start to get complicated with various dForce simulations or animations.
But if you don't care about realistically arranged simulated hair/clothes, it's relatively easy. Seriously let go of simulation at first and focus on composition, lighting, etc.
I'll give you a piece of advice my professor once gave me. "Don't focus on details that hardly anyone will see, they'll bother you and others won't give a damn."

Yes and no.

Yes because you need somewhat of a mid to high laptop/pc spec in order to make a render. Even my laptop can't keep up with the requirements sometimes but I
managed to pull through right now.

No, because there's a bazillion tutorials on setting up your scene, character poses, material assignment, lighting, environments etc. Like the most stuff I do is based on how

I want to set up the scene and through trial and error.
sooo the difficult is have a good machine, like a one with a ryzen 7000 series, 34g ram ddr5, and a Nvidia 4000 series?? after that, i could search for tutorials and maybe learn, is possible?

Yes and no.
Below is my current setup, obviously on a laptop.

Depends on what you want from the software Daz3d has thousands of pre made products poses clothes hair etc which means you can set up things quite fast but Daz3d is a resource VRAM intensive programme especially with many newer assets that have 4k textures Daz is also rather terrible with animations overall compared to say Blender

So for a beginner would you recommend Daz or Blender?

If you just want to create art images for a VN or for personal use i would say Daz3d but if you want to create thing's like original game assets made from nothing sculpting etc or animation than go with Blender just be aware Blender has a much higher learning curve

Than daz it is

If you need any more help with asset recommendations or anything feel free to ask
Thanks, don't know when I'll be able to get into it but I hope I get to it someday, I think its a pretty useful too to know in general

Well if you do there are plenty of tutorials on youtube Rauko is pretty good the guy makes adult themed stuff as well

daz is pretty much drag and drop when it comes to placing your assets in the scene. thats about it. with a few clicks you can have a descent setup.
you can find plenty free assets online, and I mean free not pirated. from characters to clothes and enviroments. daz store has freebies too plus it often has fastgrabs of up to 70% price cut. you can get a high quality asset for as low as 3 dollars.

you will sooner or later need to invest some money, mainly in clothes, hair and shoes since those are dificult to create. the basic morphs that come for free with daz offer you the basic tools to make your own custom characters. not to mention that you get all basic genesis characters of up to gen9 for free including some basic cloth, skins, hair and poses.
here is where the easy part stops

making a realistic looking character requires skill, creating the right lighting takes knowledge of photography, lences, camera angles, focal lengths, depth of field etc because just slapping spotlights only burdens your scene and it looks bad most of the time. then there is dforce where you want to invest some learning time if you want the clothes to sit on the model and not look bad, and finaly you ned to find the details for the render settings., the denoiser etc.
if you go for manual posing you will need referecnes to move the figure and make it look descent.

but honestly youtube is full of tutorials. rauko is a great youtuber who goes into details from beginner to more advanced stuff.

my very first render is this one.
