You can still get throwback dial phones -- They change the old dial sounds to digital so they are compatible but the dial still functions as it should - I had one for a while but the cuteness factor eventually gave way to the annoying factor.

when internet 1st became available even someone trying to call your house would knock you offline...then they put option to block incoming calls while online. Or maybe it was that damn call waiting feature on the phone, can't remember...lol

Correct, early days someone calls you and you get knocked off the internet.
Later, someone calls you and they got a busy tone, a big problem for working men (on standby, industrial installations to help in emergencies - pre-cell phone). Shits burning down and nobody responds cos they all dowloading a jpeg overnight good times

I mean, plastic is relative. I think this stuff was kinda like plastic but almost ceramic.. Bakelite comes to mind. Thick, heavy and strong as hell. Also yes, short cords, one phone call at a time (even with multiple phones in the house), and if you had the guts to connect to internet (dialup), nobody can touch the phone or call you while connected or that 512x512 jpeg you where waiting 2 hours for got ruined. Different times lol

This was WELL before the internet was a thing for the general public.

Currently no. Finished Dandadan a few weeks ago. That was pretty good. Waiting on shows to finish. I'm not patient enough to wait week to week for episodes. Lately at work I've been listening to podcast stories. Listened to some good ones. Escaping Denver, The gentleman from hell, and Dust. I'm currently listening to this one called The Dead. It is with the George A Romero foundation. All tied with the night of the living dead stuff.

Dandadan anime was so good, and the manga is amazing. I'm going to have to check out these podcast stories.
