Maybe you can buy those but let's be honest NVIDIA is essentially the only real choice if you want a high end GPU.

So, the 5090 is the old 1080 and 2080 versions, while the 5080 is the old version of 1070 and 2070, while the 5070 is the old version of 1060 and 2060, and the 5060 is the old version of 1050 and 2050, all the while everyone goes nuts about the price wars, at this moment any and all beyond 4080, unless you are doing some rather extreme rendering, is completely useless for the average gamer. Not to mention, these are newly arrived boards that just like the previous series, will have X amount of bugs and problems in the first 2-3 months, which will force the price to go down, eventually in a year from now, it will start to look better.

That being said, more than 90% of all existing games can run smoothly on the old 2080 and 3080... so... think about that if you want to jump into spending right away. So, food for thought. If you want to get it and have the dough, get it! If not, then there's no worry about it!

Most most cases if you think about it...it isn't even worth it.
I mean most gamers will still be stuck on 1000-3000 series and maybe some already upgrading since it has been more or less 5 year.
Since most gamers will still dominate in old hardware that will still be the target audience of most game devs they won't suddenly focus on games to only work on new gen GPUs.
Overall, just save up until you got the money for it or just a older model that is still in stock brand new. Still lots of cheaper 7600 xt and 7800 xt AMD in store if you are broke.

Heck a damn RTX 3070/3060 is plenty for 80% of people, 3080/4070 performance could be considered overkill.
