discussion Anti-Social & Lurker - Hideout spot

Really informative read, thanks!

Spoiler: One thing I noticed that wasn't explained:

What is the purpose of the reaction score?

You must be registered to see attachments

To get LCoins, by now ANY reaction gives you points, so it doesn't matter how you react haha

[Tosser]

If by backreading you mean catching up on yesterday's unread posts, then I guess I've already been brainwashed influenced into backreading. It just so happens that I come back right when the thread is starting to slow down and people are going to sleep.

True backreading requires you to start here.

oh is that just how they use to work? I was thinking that it was weird a lot of reactions didn't give a positive score
except the thumbs down, that one makes sense

The whole LC aspect of it does not matter to me anymore but I tend to react to any post I find informative - or entertaining. AND I will often react just because it is obvious that it was a high effort post for that person.

Reasons why I try to avoid making useless posts, I know I can't like everyone's post as I'm backreading so I try to make my posts worth something so I can get p1 and not have to worry about it, posting less than when I was going for games+ but still trying to keep the quality.

Also, just a protip. Become a backreader. Join the backreading force. It's the pop-idol scene for LC, anyone who's anyone backreads or used to. Join today! *This is totally not backreading propaganda. Individual results may vary*

It hurts backreading and having the cooldown when you see a good post but also want to keep catching up, I end up skipping some for the sake of getting to the ones more worthy. Or I like a post and the next post is 10x better so I gotta sit there waiting on the timer

Spoiler: Loscipher

Well it has been an interesting few days for me. I lost electricity for a little over 24hrs. Luckily I already had plenty of propane to at least stay warm. I hope everyone is nice and warm or what have you and that everyone one of my fellow lurkers are safe. Going to poke around in here for a few minutes before I head out and go check on the neighbors.

Damn, take care out there Loscipher!
Stay safe.

Sometimes a post can sneak through, and how should we then now, what you're talking about.

Spoiler: Gorion

Guess I should feel bad. The first time I've been here in a hot minute (heh ) and my first thread visit wasn't the best hangout spot LC. It was my second though

GORION! Welcome back!
Hope you had a nice set of holidays!

That is a start. We usually just read whatever we're comfortable with. I usually start wherever I was last before logging off. Unless I have been gone longer than a day, then I start about 10 pages back. That said though, some people read back pretty far, easily in the 20-30 page range. It can be a lot though doing that. But, it does help keep things fresh, revives older topics, and ensures everyone's post gets seen. Since sometimes this chat moves at warp speed. Or at least, it used to.

And yupp, the speed has decrease significantly.

Spoiler: ThePhoenix

trying the verification process now. anyone else do this yet?

A couple has tried it out.
It's mostly for those "realistic" style images, so people know what style to use.

Spoiler: Bonki

whoa.... almost forgot

fell asleep earlier, time schedule all messed up

On the bubble

Ehh, it's all right, not like I was lying here waiting for you or anything.

Night Bonki, sleep well, see you later!

Spoiler: Bananana73

So what's everyone's favorite season of archer? For me prob season 2 or 3. I liked the LA noire season too, whichever # that was.

Never watched it, so can't say anything about it.
Is it worth watching?

Spoiler: One thing I noticed that wasn't explained:

I don't think the reaction score really has a purpopse, other than showing how "popular" you are.

How long does it usually take for a donation to get translated into coins?

You already got you answer, but didn't you think to click on the big green information buttons?

Or maybe you didn't see them, or didn't think they were buttons?
Sorry I'm just trying to gatherer some info here.

Good to see you alrubedo!

You could just open the post in a new tab, then come back to it, when your timer is off?
I've seen others do the same thing.

For sure. One of the best animated comedy shows in my opinion. Idk why Archer fell off when others became ultra mega popular. I put Archer among my favorite shows.
