I'm using games to scratch the novelty itch, I find engadging games easier to find than other material so it's my first port of call.
If I'm bored of what a games giving then it's probably time to crack out some old reliable media, that's rarely a game though.

For me it would be the other way around. So material then game or just game a lot of the time.
Only if I am trying out a new game and it is too slow or not interesting enough would I do game then material.
But that being said a lot of updates for 2024 left me frustrated with quality.

No, these games are a form of mental release for me after work. Hence my love for sandboxes and grinds - it's how I release the internal tension I've accumulated during the day. Painted pictures don't excite me, I'd rather watch 4K porn with live people downloaded from torrents.
