Do you like porn games with more or less mechanics and systems? And what's a game at the OPPOSITE end of the scale that you like anyway?

Personally, I think too much complex gameplay gets in the way of the fap - I like some choices in the story, and maybe a meter or two to show progress of corruption or desire or something like that, but any more than that and I lose my buzz.

That said, I really like TF Card Battle (maybe more as a game than as wank material, though.

Would love to hear your general preferences and your unlikely faves.

My preferences seem weird to me, most because it depends on the mood I am in. I love the deeper story and mechanics in Evenicle, but at the same time most days I just prefer something I can fast forward to a well done anal scene.

I HATE minigames and any grinding.

The problem is not if it is complex or not, but whether the author did a good job with the mechanics, lot of authors in here trying to do way more then they are capable and end just wasting their efforts

Yes I like that. But it needs to be creative and not too much repetitive.

I also like kinect novels if its hot enough.

As long as there is beauitiful and hot girls and the theme is too my liking ,idont mind some amount of grind/mechanic provided that i dont have to spend 110% of my brain to play.

While a good different mechanic can be good, when I'm playing porn games I'm not really in the mood to thinking too much, strategizing and such, so I'll just skip it given the option or be mad at the game for making me do it.

I HATE kinetic novels. If I have no input, actual porn looks way better than any graphics.

For me, I don't like TOO many words, but if the story's about how the characters are feeling and the development of their raunchy relationships then I'm into it. If I have to click through 8 screens of them cooking eggs for breakfast, or read a dense 3-page lore dump about the history of the 5 warring kingdoms of their fantasy world, then I'll pass.

I feel that. I seem to remember that X-Change Life had some simple rhythm style mini-games that felt like they'd been designed with arousal/masturbation in mind. I still found they got annoying, to be honest, but I appreciated the effort.

Too much yakking is definitely a bad thing, and internal dialogue is even worse. Worst of all is like AWAM where the text of internal dialogue makes War and Peace look like a pamphlet.

Yeah, I think a lot of amateur designers need to realize that if it's not working, it's more likely that you need to take something away than add something.

For me, the best games are ones that have mechanics that are fun enough to enjoy on their own and attach them to a story that makes you care about the outcome. It's always a good sign when a game gives me the option to skip the mechanics or minigame and continue with the story or scenes, and I don't want to take it.

I might be one of the few but I do like the minigams in Being a Dik, I also don't mind exploration in RPGM games, but normally, unless they are done well, I hate doing minigames because they are just not fun to do. But like has been said by others here, there has to be some kind of gameplay otherwise I might as well just watch porn.

Oof, yeah, I just tried that one, and it wasn't long until I stopped reading entirely and was giving myself RSI with the mouse button, then decided it just wasn't worth it. I think well written internal dialogue CAN be good though (and while I prefer a bit of choice, I can get into a well good Kinetic Novel, myself.) It sure feels like some writers are going for word count, though. I even see it as a bit of a red flag when someone's game description advertises the number of words - like I get that you're trying to show that it's a game with a lot of content, but quantity is a lot easier than quality.

That's the holy grail - got any favorite examples?

I only played a bit of Being a DIK a long while back, but the minigames I remember were like, multiple choice math quizzes?? I'm assuming there must've been better ones that I'm not remembering? (or maybe you REALLY liked school!)

I should have probably said Free-roams instead of minigames as the math ones weren't really memorable at all. But there are some more like repairing the mansion that used to require a bit of strategy but I think you can finish it completely now with no problems

Uronically I play games for the plot. While the graphics obviously helps, what gives me the edge is the context is in. The few real porn That tries to having something similar is just really cringe.
But yeah, porn do tend to look better than games graphics, which is why I usually finish by watching regular porn.

I remember seeing videos about some kind of "Fab Hero" on PornHub some years ago, which the premise was exactly that. I didn't care for it, but maybe the people who did would like this one.

I don't mind the occasionally mini-game if they aren't frustrating. I like to think and earn my reward.

My least favorite games are RoR (Run or Rape) and GOR (Game Over Rape) types... which are very common in the H-game genre. The point I'm playing is for porn... and then you will only give it to me if I deliberate play poorly? No thanks.

Still there are some GOR and RoR games that do it right... where you can't really lose in that situation... and it acts as an additional corruption mechanism. Thinking Legend of Krystal, That Princess Peach game by Playshapes... Meltys Quest...etc.
